Very disappointed

My wife loved her meal and I hated mine. It was inedible. I ordered the lamb skewers and they were cooked to death to the point that you couldn't identify it as lamb. For real. Service was terrible. Paula & Ehab were very kind, the food was very yummy. I had hibiscus tea, it was very good. For my main dish i had moussaka tagine, it was fabulous. I will certainly be back, it was a great experience.

We decided to stick around after a morning walking around the market and uptown to wait for this restaurant to open for the day. I am glad we did. We decided to choose the buffet for lunch and weren't disappointed. The selection wasn't over whelming but it was all very delicious. The only recommendation is to use filtered water when... More

It was our first time eating at an Egyptian restaurant. I ordered hummus and could have eaten another plate. We both ordered the kabobs. You could mix different flavours and tastes (chicken, beef). Everything is FRESH! Wonderful flavours. Good portions. My husband practically licked his plate clean he loved it so much.

The atmosphere at Taste of Egypt was fantastic. Well lit, but not "Fast food restaurant" lit. The food was fantastic! I had the Buffet, which was plentiful enough but the choices were not overwhelming. The staff, not unlike most other staff in the restaurants in the Maritimes, was very friendly. Finally, cost was very reasonable.

Had the lunch buffet. Great way to try a number of dishes. We didn't try the lentil soup but loved the falafel, hummus and tabbouleh. I wish there had been whole wheat pitas but the white ones were good. Loved the moussaka. And of course the baklava. yummmm. Had very nice hibiscus tea with it. Very friendly staff. We will... More

We had a delightful dinner on Friday night. We started with a smoothie as this restaurant is not licensed. Mine was made with mint and it was delicious. Our appetizer was incredible. For dinner I had the shish kebab platter with tandoori chicken ...delicious . I upgraded to tabouleh salad and that was fantastic. My husband had a hummus chicken... More

I have eaten at this restaurant many times. The music and atmosphere is so relaxing. My favourite thing is the Chicken kabobs I get one of each when I get the kabob plate. They also have a garlic sauce that comes with the chicken that is to die for. I have had there fresh drinks and tea both are enjoyable... More

I was greated by a warm smile. Ask if this was my first time here I indicated yes. Traveling from ottawa. The buffet is small but very tasty. The mousaka was very good and the dahl soup was fragrante and tasty. The experience was positive and the service was excellent. Would recomend this place.
