Trivia Night!

Went with friends to participate in Trivia Night, which is Wednesday evenings. You have to call ahead to register your team, due to popularity, preferably on Tuesday. It is a very enjoyable time.

Big Tide is such a great little spot with delicious pub style food. The burgers are extremely good! If you time your visit properly there are game nights to participate in! Great for a lunch date or getting friends together in the evening. You're always in for a nice visit!

I have only been once when I was visiting for work. I did not eat anything while I was there, so I cannot comment on the food. I met up with friends I know in the city for Trivia Night. There are only 3-4 beer on tap, not much else to choose from if you don't want beer. Trivia was... More

Was on my way back to the cruise ship when I accidentally found this place. Great beer; took a growler back to the ship:) with me. Had the Black and Tan Fries and the soup and they were a great 'keep me warmer' type of food for a cool September afternoon.

Big Tide has always been a favorite of ours. Recently, my wife and I switched to a mostly vegan diet, and were delighted that the pub had a few good choices. There's a home made veggie burger that is quite good, and vegetarian chili that my wife and I usually get. Both are very filling and extremely well priced. Appart... More

Stopped in while in town for business. They have great beers on tap and service is friendly. Thursday is perogie night. $2.50 for 6 perogie! Goes great with a beer.

Came for chop chop and were disappointed. We both had butternut squash soup but mine was a deep orange color and thick and my wife's was light orange with white spots and very runny. Both tasted good. Rolls were just store bought. Mains were: coconut crusted red snapper which was awesome and Asian noodles which tasted good but were served... More

Of course we had to try the local brewpub. We sat in the bar/brewery area, but they did have a second room in the back with more seating. It's down a flight of stairs off the main street area, and if you're looking for a hoity-toity atmosphere, this won't cut it. We don't need that, so we were just fine.... More

Our Bermuda cruise got re-routed to St. John, New Brunswick because of Hurricane Joaquin and this is where we ended up getting lunch on the one day we were in port there. I wasn't overly impressed. Their pub chips were good and my boyfriend liked the pumpkin beer, but my pulled pork wrap was meh for an entree. The sweet... More
