CONTINUING TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT MEALS

I went twice to Decimal 81 this week during the Chop Chop week long event. The Caesar salad was great and the tenderloin was just that. To top it off, the stick date pudding was fantastic. I have never had a meal below expectations at this restaurant.

I came here years ago and really enjoyed everything. I unfortunately can not say the same for my most recent visit. The menu was unimaginative, and service was painfully slow!! The salad I received was drenched in dressing and the meat was overcooked. No one in the group I was with was overly impressed. Having one waitress on a busy... More

My husband and I traveled here for ChopChop, after hearing some good things. As they were quite busy, our courses took a long time to arrive. They were also out of the first two wines that we ordered from their already limited selection. When our food finally arrived it was ok, although the steak was mostly grizzle and the potatoes... We had been to this restaurant twice before. It was Chop Chop week and we came from out of town. We wanted a regular menu and were told "this is all we do." Staff ran around, it was loud, and the wine we ordered was not available. The beef tenderloin was nothing but gristle. Wet boiled spinach and ho hum... More

When the chop chop menu came out for uptown Saint John my friends and I scanned the menus and Decimal 81's menu certainly caught our eye as a interesting place to go for girls night. Never having been to Decimal 81 before we did not know what to expect. What we found was a quaint little place and an amazing... More

I've been traveling every week for 6 weeks now, only home for very brief pitstops 1 day, a day and 1/2 on the weekends. So I decided to take my wife out for a Romantic weekend dinner this past Saturday. Ordinarily I would pick one of our favourites as I want the night to go well without having to think... More

Excellent history with great seafood. Started with a complimentary Savage Harbour oyster, appetizers scallops and best deal on the menu: seafood in white wine sauce. Arrives in its own Dutch oven: mussels, shrimp, crab, clams, lemon butter and garlic bread. Entrees: salade nicoise and beef tenderloin. Small dessert menu molten chocolate cake or blueberry creme brulee. Brulee was very good. Free... More

Always have a delicious meal there. Last time, I had the rack of lamb . I can't wait to go back and have that dish again. The service is slow because the food is prepared after you order not beforehand. The mushroom soup was superb also.

What a charming reaturant with delightful chef host. From the delicious amuse bouche thru terrific salad with warm pears, excllent fish and duck entrees and a terrific olten lava cake with many other goodies on the plate. Prices are amazingly reasonable for the quality of the food.

Although this place is a small little spot off Prince William St, it certainly is a gem in the uptown area. I never order steak when out and this was the best I have ever had ! The salad was so fresh and flavourful. The goat cheese appetizer was so delicious , I could have eaten it all to myself... More
