A Noble Effort

This place is so close to a five star rating. The location is superb - they have outdoor seating available on a deck that stretches out over the sidewalk, practically into the street, providing a pleasant, quaint view of quiet St. John on a lovely summer morning. We were in for weekend brunch... read more

We stopped in for dinner travelling through St John. We were disappointed with the food - I had the watermelon salad, which had a really awful taste and I didn't end up eating any of it. We both ordered ribs with fries and vegetables (that is what it said on the menu). The ribs were delicious, the fries were average... More

The Bourbon Quarter kitchen also provides the food to the Magnolia Cafe which is right next door. Service was OK, prices were slightly high. The food was decent, but the review took a major hit for the salad with the meal. The salad included a large clump of truly rotten-wilted greens. One of the more disgusting things to show up... The blackened catfish came with maple carrot puree, sauteed green beans, two hush puppies and creole sauce and it was delicious. It burnt my girlfriend's mouth which was a good indicator that the spice level was perfect! The restaurant is gorgeous and the waitresses were attentive and friendly. The prices were fair, $19 for my entree, and there is a... More

After being in New Orleans, we were looking for a local place that served traditional southern food & we found it here!!. Great selection on the menu; excellent food prepared just like down south; wonderful, helpful staff making great suggestions.

We stopped in for lunch looking for Hammond Brew after my boyfriend had me on a wild goose chase. Our server/bartender could not have been more helpful! I had fried catfish and lobster poutine that pretty much put me in a food coma. It was tough because the boyfriend enjoyed multiple Hammond Brews and the server/bartender was nice enough to... More

The pulled chicken club sandwich is a must try, flavorful and delicious!! They ran out of whole wheat bread, I settled for white bread, just as good. All their bread is homemade and made on site. The staff very friendly and service was great.

We started by sitting inside with the menu. The girl brought us ice water and the menu while my Bf checked availability outside, it was too warminside. We moved, she followed us with the menu and drinks. Ordered some apps; lobster poutine and chicken wings. I had read alot lately about this poutine, looks like Saint John likes this idea.... More

My boyfriend and I had gone to Bourbon Quarter last Friday night. We had reservations for around 8pm. We were greeted right away and they sat us at the best seat in the house. It wasn't overly busy but fairly steady. Our Waiter was very kind and quick to get us drinks and take our order. We started with the... More

After two weeks driving in Northern US, all meals on restaurants, this was the best food the both of us have had! Pulled pork strudel and a fish dish, both great! Some good beers on tap and great service on top of that. Also very Child friendly, had a two year old with with us.
