Good...But...

Made reservations on a Tuesday night for 7 at 6pm. Staff was lukewarm and it seemed that they were not real enthused that we were there, sorry, just the impression that we got. Once seated, it took awhile to get a drink, not a great way to make a first impression if you don't get a drink in the... read more

We went to the Blue Door restaurant on Friday night. It was lovely. The service was companionable and the food was delicious. The value for money was exceptional. I highly recommend this setting for a casual romantic date or a special celebration! I'll be back!

Such a cute place and the food is top notch. I had a warm mushroom salad with tofu as an appetizer followed by grilled scallops. Food was interesting, not what you see on every menu and well executed.

Everytime we go to Fredericton...this place is a must. And, everytime we go we are pleasently suprised...the menu changes and it gets better and better...I would give it a gastropub title, and the food is amazing. This time we even had a flambé dessert....and Craig service is always excellent.

Went for dinner with a couple of friends last Saturday and was very impressed with the quality of food. Love the way the food is presented with choices of sizes of several dishes. The service was great and he knew the wine to compliment our dishes. I had the trout, and my friends had the 1/2 rack of lamb and... More

I recently tried The Blue Door for the first time on a Friday night and was so impressed. The atmosphere was inviting, the service was exceptional and the food amazing. The lobster nachos were a great start while my meal only got better when my lamb, roasted potatoes, and brussel sprouts with beet painted squash arrived. This meal was so... More

The Blue Door remains Fredericton's best kept secret. My wife and I were blown away at the level of service and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual, a perfect combination for a much needed "date night". The food was great- I had the striploin steak which was cooked perfectly and she had the pesto pasta(which I believe is a new... More

The food was good, however I feel like everything was a little overpriced. I think if everything on the menu was $3-$4 less expensive, I would call this place great. I had the lobster nachos, and they were very good, but quite overpriced for the quantity. They do have a $1 oyster happy hour on Fridays which is pretty fantastic.... More

Our waitress was fabulous, very attentive, friendly and personable. The food does not make me want to return anytime soon. Two guys in our party ordered steak, one medium rare, one medium well - both came out the same. Aside from how it was cooked, my biggest surprise was the lack of vegetables. They each received a plate containing a... More
