Let me start by saying i have been here with my wife for lunch many times, and it has been decent. This morning we decided to try breakfast at Georges.Well we both ordered the breakfast special. There was nothing special about this at all.My wifes toast was not buttered. Her eggs were greasy,as well as her ham.My eggs were stone cold,my hashbrowns were raw.My... This is Winnipeg's best burger hands down. The meat to bun ratio is best when you get a double, which I usually stick to on my diet. Other George's are not this good except maybe the location on Ness.

Visit often, and never disappointed. The restaurant is kept clean. The service is prompt, and portions are generous. All around an above average burger joint (the gyros are also great). The only issue is the fact that it is not a large diner, so ensure to arrive before the lunch, and dinner rush.

George's restaurants can be found around Wpg (even in Morris), but the best of them is this one in St. Vital. They are loaded and messy - which, for me, good burgers have to be.The service is lightning quick - even when... More

This has always been one of my favourite hamburg places. I was always hard pressed to eat a whole hamburg. Was disappointed this time as bun seemed bigger than hamburg and I was snitching fries off husbands plate to fill up. Hope this isn't a permanent change in food .

The burgers were big and tasty, buns were fresh and soft, service was very friendly. The restaurant could be described as "having character"...it is a bit rundown and dated, but the price is right and the food is decent.

The reviews on this place are bang on! My daughter and ordered a couple of Fat Boy burgers (single and a double) and an order of poutine. Everything arrived lightening fast and it was all HUGE and awesome! The burgers were dressed with mayo, pickles, tomato, lettuce, and apparently a thin layer of chilli, which I forgot about after I... More
