Love the juicy burgers! Despite the spartan seats, the food taste and size of the serving od the fries made the trip all worthwhile. We were lucky the place wasnt filled but still a small queue formed, and it was late afternoon. If you are into eating at holes in the wall, well this is definitely worth a visit anytime.... More

Winnipeg has many burger joints. VJ is worth passing by the others to make a stop there. I get greeted and don't even have to say want I want..they know

They have been doing this for a long time and it shows. Never had a better, faster, or tastier burger. The VJ's special is legendary. Only outdoor seating so takeout is really popular.

Greasy food at it's finest. I've been going here most of my life off and on Dietary restrictions now limit my visits but I sneak over there once in a while. Nothing fancy just a line up at a take away window and a few picnic tables out back with a small parking area along side but some of the... More

If you want some greasy food it's the food you want. But I love that greasy food. I love their fries. It's great.

I have patronized this place since its opening ?50 years ago! These folks have hung on to their recipe for the finest hot dog experience anywhere in the world. Weiners…perfect. Pickles, mustard etc…fab. Greek sauce…out of the park. No visitor should leave Winnipeg without sampling this gem…a short walk from the new Human Rights Museum. Take out only.

It was a great burger, but to be named number one in Winnipeg is a stretch. There's a lot of good burger places in the city.

Everyone in Winnipeg has eaten here at one time or another. Often can see line ups during the lunch time crowds and late nighters. Stopped by to have one of their famous cheeseburgers and fries. Delicious. Right amount of toppings on the burger...mustard, onions, great pickles and chili sauce. Very tasty beef. The homemade fries are also delicious. My sister... More

Always great hot dogs and burgers. Always go for heavy onion and pickle. If you get there late they don't have shakes.
