So noisy, Food so good...

I have been visiting this cozy (tables about 1" apart) Falaf Place on Corydon Avenue for more than 25 years...right back when they were located on Academy drive... sometimes 3 times a week for breakfast and lunch. I've never had a falafal but have tried most other things on the menu. All... read more

First time here in about six months and they do breakfast right. Had corned beef hash while others went the falafel route. Love that you can get onions/garlic/hot peppers with your potatoes. I never leave this place hungry.

Hands down my favorite place to go for brekky in winnipeg. The "hungry person breakfast"(8 falafels, hummus, 2 eggs, loaded hashbrowns, bacon, toast) has been the cure for many a rough morning. It's breakfast all day so if you aren't an early riser, that's ok. Lunch/dinner crowd - The falafels are tasty anytime, and the "Deno Burger" (Turkey bacon cheeseburger)... More

This unique falafel is absolutely delicious with many creative varieties and other menu options. The menu is very vegan and vegetarian friendly. This is a real "local joint" in Winnipeg that is crowded at lunch hour, and I also make a special effort to eat here when I am visiting in town.

Full discolsure - I generally only ever have breakfast here. So I'm not super familiar with the rest of the menu. That said, I don't know anyone who has ever had anything but glowing reviews. The only issue - it's HARD to get in here on a weekend morning. It's generally lined up and you've gotta wait to get in.... More

I had been to this restaurant a couple of years ago and was impressed with the extensive middle eastern menu and had been recommended to try the borsch. I was not disappointed. I am back in Winnipeg for a short visit and took a friend there for lunch who had never had borsch and she was sold. It is a... More

I was always curious about this place and thought it was more of a take-out. What a surprise. Even though the place was very busy, we didn't have to wait long, staff was super friendly and we were surprised that our food came out quite fast, despite the place being packed. The food tasted great: we had the middle-eastern falafel... More

I've been here several times and how busy it is depends on the day/time. Saturday morning is definitely busy, Wednesday night, not so much. The fresh squeezed orange juice is to die for, the yam fries are great (but there's no dip...), the onion rings are also amazing, and both my breakfast and my partners meal with elk meat were... Not much I can add to the other reviews other than to agree. Had breakfast here at the recommendation of some locals. The falafels were as good as any I've had in the middle, east and better than any I've had in Canada. Service is casual and friendly. It's very popular, so get there, early or be patient in line. The owner... More

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Winnipeg. I go for the potato pancakes and falafel. A unique tasty addition to standard bacon and eggs. Always busy but with fast turnover (loitering during busy time is frowned upon) so I've never had to wait long to get in.
