This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Winnipeg. I go for the potato pancakes and falafel. A unique tasty addition to standard bacon and eggs. Always busy but with fast turnover (loitering during busy time is frowned upon) so I've never had to wait long to get in.

I ate here on a Saturday for lunch, and tried the falafel breakfast. The falafel itself was fantastic, with a perfect soft and delicately crispy texture, and very tasty. Everything about the breakfast tasted great, with nicely prepared eggs and hashbrowns. The atmosphere was alright - a bit of an odd mixture of family restaurant, ethnic spot and cheap diner.... More

If you like a large breakfast with a variety of choices this is certainly a place to go. This eatery is very casual. Suppers too are large, tasty portions. We were there when it was not to busy but it can get a bit loud when crowded

Very popular and busy. Always a line up to get in. Great place to start the day! Deli style and the owner is always a great character to encounter.

We went on a whim and were pleasantly surprised by the food (nice change and large amounts), the staff are friendly and hard working and the atmosphere reminds me of New York. Best potato pancakes I've had.

If you are looking for high style, waiters with an attitude, and big prices with small plates then do not eat here. If, on the other hand, you love a combination of Middle Eastern, Jewish deli and Canadian classic food served in a boisterous environment, always with enough left over to take home then come on in. Breakfast, lunch &... More

I'm so used to having certain ingredients in a falafel that it doesn't seem like a falafel without them. It was tasty, don't get me wrong, and so were the sweet potato fries (that was a 1/2 portion?? really??), just a bit unexpected.

Ordered the falafel platter. It was delicious! Fresh squeezed orange juice. And homemade jam! My company ordered corned beef hash, could not finish it! Lots of food on the plate and spot on. Service quick, pleasant.

This is a unique place to get all kinds of food from Vegan to Mid-eastern. I absolutely enjoy taking a break from all the others to enjoy the ambiance - and the good selection of food.

I have been going to this place since it was at the foot of the St. James Bridge on Academy and I can honestly say it's over. The thrill is gone. It is too expensive for food derived from yellow brand superstore products and condiments. The specialty items are made well in advance; the latkas sit in their own grease... More
