Authentic Central American cuisine

Called ahead to reserve a table for our group of 6 because of the small size of the restaurant. Really did not need to; it was a Tuesday night and there was only one other group dining at the same time as we were. I had looked at the menu ahead of time on their website because it was my... read more

Went to La Fiesta last night for a Friday night dinner. Didn't have a reservation but got one of the two tables left. It took about 15 minutes to place our order...and then the fun started. One hour later, half of our combination dinner for two order finally arrived and then 15 minutes later the second half came. To be... More

This little restaurant in South St. Vital is easy to miss as it is just one of a number of businesses in a large strip mall. Do not be fooled, people know about it and love it. Reservations are handy even during the week. I have been twice for supper and have tried the chicken chipolte soup, the corn and... More

I was excited to try this restaurant for a very long time, but never went because of the distance from my house. I finally made it, but learned that my excitement was squandered on a less than mediocre excuse for a Latin American restaurant. My partner ordered the combination special, which came with a chicken burrito, a chicken tamale, a... More

This place was recommended to me by several people, and I ended up to going for a birthday with a group of 8 people. I didn't find that the service was slow, like has been mentioned in some of the other reviews, drinks and appetizers came out fast, main course took some time, but was all fresh made-for me the... When La Fiesta moved from the Ellice location I wasn't sure that it would be the same, but it is! The food has not changed in flavor and the atmosphere is just fine. You have to have lots of time though because everything is made fresh from scratch!! Family run business with all the members being very friendly. You are... More

We visited this restaurant in November,2014. The food was excellent, but the service was very slow. The restaurant is small, and there were only 3 of us...l but it still took 45-50 minutes from the time of ordering to being served our food. Not impressed. Also it would have been nice if we had a little salad on our burrito... More

We had high hopes based on a recommendation by a friend of a friend. The restaurant is not very big and you have very little elbow room when eating if your an average to above average height. The drinks and food took an extremely long time to come. Some say it's because the food is made from scratch and fresh... More

It's buried in a suburban strip mall but the atmosphere is terrific. From service to social media to a guitar playing troubadour on Weds and Sat. Was slightly disappointed that overall I found the food a little bland (although not the jalapeño soup on a hot day!). One order was also incorrect when it arrived so one of our party... More
