I have had the wonderful experience of discovering one of the hidden gourmet gems of Winnipeg. This is now my 4th visit in just over 5 weeks and Cafe' Dario has never disappointed! I have no hesitation of taking some of my biggest clients (not to mention family) because they have never failed to surprise me on quality, consistency and... More

As a couple we went there last night for my birthday dinner. Overall - excellent. It was not crowded and we got a reservation at our requested time. We opted for the 5-course dinner with a bottle of wine included. The service was attentive, accommodating and friendly. A wide variety of menu options to choose from. A note of caution... More

If you're a "foody" and haven't tried Cafe Dario, you must give it a try. For $39.99 you get a five course dinner. First you choose from a line-up of appetizers, next you're served the soup of the day, and then a salad of the day. Next you can choose from an array of entres which could be a steak,... More

This little restaurant was recommended by some local friends. We went for dinner and were very satisfied. The set price meal offers a good variety to suit most tastes. The service was excellent, the pace of dinner was relaxed, and the portions were perfect. Excellent food! Don't be deceived by the neighborhood, this place is worth going!

A great little find...will definitely return. Enjoyed the fixed price dinner which included an appetizer, soup, salad, entree and a tasty little dessert. I had the escargot to start which was very flavourful, followed by a very tasty soup. An interesting presentation for a salad which was field greens wrapped tightly in a roll wrapped with cucumber, with a blackberry... More

I love going to this restaurant. As usual, Dario combines an artistic blend to make his meals taste wonderful. I loved the cream of mushroom soup with cinnamon and my main course of beef tenderloin with chimichurri was spot on. For dessert, there was a watermelon slice drizzled with dark chocolate and cheese. I have never acquired a taste for... More

We went here for our anniversary and brought our 14 year old daughter with us. Appetizers where different but very good. My wife had cuttle fish, daughter had Colombian arepa and I had the escargot. A delicious beef vegetable soup followed and then a cucumber wrapped salad. I had the beef tenderloin which was the most tender and flavourful I... More

At some point in time, this was a house located in an industrial area. Now its bright yellow exterior marks it as a beacon for some very tasty fare. It is quite small inside so reservations could be in order. Parking is on the street or in the back if you are really lucky. The menu is prix-fixe giving you... More

I have been to Café Dario a number of times and usually for lunch. The food is always superb and the service is prompt and attentive. The chef creates a new menu daily; there is always a chicken dish, a fish or seafood dish, a game dish, a lamb dish and a pork dish. On our last visit my husband... More

Cafe Dario's is a Winnipeg gem. Chef Dario expertly prepared a delicious 5 course dinner for our group. Everything was delicious. From the prawn appetizer, watercress soup, ( one of the best soups i have ever tasted) to the main courses of pork tenderloin, lamb...everything for our group was prepared and cooked to perfection. Portion size ideal. Servers friendly and... More
