Last Saturday my husband and I decided ( spur -of the -moment) to go out for dinner. Of course all of our usual haunts were booked!! Then we remembered an acquaintance who had raved about Cafe Dario and we were lucky enough to get a reservation for that evening. The venue is tucked into a residential area on Erin Street.... More

Cafe Dario's menu offers 5 course meals for $39.00. The menu changes, I was fortunate to go when venison was available. It was beautifully done, tender, and nicely seasoned. The baked escargot “El Diablo appetizer had a nice heat to it, but was not overpowering. We will definitely be back.

Everyone in our group really enjoyed this restaurant. Cudos to the chef for preparing an excellent five course meal for us. Everyone had different things and he catered to two in our group that have allergies to dairy. Every course was just wonderful. In particular I loved the marinade on the ribs that I had as an appy and loved... More

The food was excellent! There was a nice spicy heat to the empanada, the soup was served hot, a salad followed, then the main entree, and dessert to complete the meal. Our waiter was very friendly and made sure our glasses were always filled. We were allowed adequate time to complete each dish before the next was served and left feeling very... More

We were four people in Winnipeg on business and decided to go to dinner at Café Dario on a whim. I had been there once before at lunch when I had been in town and had made a promise to myself to go back. So there we were in Winnipeg on a Wednesday night at about 6:00 PM and off... More

My husband and I had a delightful meal at this quaint restaurant. We had five courses, which were perfectly timed and absolutely delicious! The service was excellent and atmosphere was great.

We were out by the airport and saw a review for this restaurant. It's Latin theme and fixed price five course dinner menu seemed too much. We followed a group of four in ona Sunday night. Small and intimate, we took up the final tables. My wife for her appetizer chose a ceviche created with goose berries and mango topped... More

Café Dario offers a fixed price menu with many interesting choices. Overall our party of six enjoyed their meals. The appetizers included escargots, sausages and grilled goat cheese. All were very good although the escargot dish was mainly mushrooms with a few snails. Main courses were also good although the duck was over cooked. Dessert was delicious. Portions are not... More

This place is in the middle of nowhere but is close to some new "out of downtown" hotels. I ventured there on a whim because it was really cold! I was quite pleased with the meal. Service was solid. They offered choices, recommendations, explanations; all good. The music was a bit different as a poor review suggested. I heard Phil... More

I think I've told at least 10 people about this restaurant since a board member at our firm recommended this restaurant to our CEO who treated me to lunch her during one of the cold winter days we had in February...it was unusually quiet as the waiter said weather had kept people away...lucky for us. Sure, the place is situated... More
