I have been to Promenade Cafe & Wine on 3 different occasions and it has been terrific every time. The service is top notch and the food is all delicious. I have been in contact with the owner to discuss food allergies and he was very well versed in the subject and was happy to provide information. This is one... More

Their Croissant sandwich with Brie, prosciutto and pear was excellent. Took slice of pecan pie to go. Did not add ice cream, which would have spoiled the taste.

Saturday morning we headed out for a breakfast experience and instead of going to a chain, I thought I would rather support and try out a local St. Boniface establishment. We found ourselves going into the Promenade. The warm and charming French country décor was complimented by the hearty and well cooked breakfast we received. Everything was cooked to order... More

We dined at Promenade with friends who live in Winnipeg. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. Our server was from Belgium and spoke both French and English very well. He made good recommendations for meal choice. We all chose to start with the French Onion soup which was as good... More

We had lunch at this restaurant and the food was excellent. Service was wonderful, view is outstanding. I had the Quiche of the day with a house salad. The quiche was at least 4" high, light, fluffy and very tasty. the salad was delicious. My husband had the clubhouse, and it was loaded with turkey. The fries were homemade and... More

Went here for a romantic night out. Though it was winter, there was still a beautiful view of the Red River, Forks and Esplanade Riel bridge. Food was great and I highly recommend you try the Champignons crostini appetizer. Their traditional French dishes are their specialty, the Bison Tourtière was a hit with my husband.

I took a group of students and adult chaperones to the Cafe Promenade Sunday. The meal was very good and the service was excellent. The Soup du Jour, turkey chowder, was the best soup I have eaten in a long time. All of the entrees were quite good but the pick of the day for the students was the Tarte... More

Three of us went for breakfast. All our meals were tasty; the omelette, French toast and bacon and eggs. Restaurant was clean, serving staff was friendly. One minor negative was that refills for the coffee and water wasn't as quick as I would have liked. Meals are reasonably priced. Will be returning.

Had beef bourguignon Honestly the amount of beef could have fit on one spoon. It was served in a bowl soup like. Wine had been added at the end of cooking and it was over powering. Disappointing meal. I did not complain as it is no fun to complain. But I won't go back.
