Went here for a romantic night out. Though it was winter, there was still a beautiful view of the Red River, Forks and Esplanade Riel bridge. Food was great and I highly recommend you try the Champignons crostini appetizer. Their traditional French dishes are their specialty, the Bison Tourtière was a hit with my husband.

I took a group of students and adult chaperones to the Cafe Promenade Sunday. The meal was very good and the service was excellent. The Soup du Jour, turkey chowder, was the best soup I have eaten in a long time. All of the entrees were quite good but the pick of the day for the students was the Tarte... More

Three of us went for breakfast. All our meals were tasty; the omelette, French toast and bacon and eggs. Restaurant was clean, serving staff was friendly. One minor negative was that refills for the coffee and water wasn't as quick as I would have liked. Meals are reasonably priced. Will be returning.

Had beef bourguignon Honestly the amount of beef could have fit on one spoon. It was served in a bowl soup like. Wine had been added at the end of cooking and it was over powering. Disappointing meal. I did not complain as it is no fun to complain. But I won't go back.

I'd rate this restaurant somewhere between average and VG. The ideas in the meal were good, but the execution wasn't spot on from course to course. I had the prix fixe menu, with wine pairings. The house pate was very bland, but pleasant enough with the whole grain mustard and mini pickles. I came to the conclusion that my pate... More

We were invited out with friends who suggested Promenade! So glad they did. We had the fixed course menu with wine pairings. It was fantastic! Loved the wine they selected and the food was amazing. Can't wait to come back!
