Great for a private event!

I organized a private holiday event for my company at the Promenade Café and Wine. The food (appetizers and dinner) was amazing, the service was excellent and the room (the Wine Room) was beautiful and very private with its own bar and washroom.

A couple of times a year we meet friends here for breakfast on a weekend. It's a busy place so reservations are recommended. Service was very prompt and friendly. The omelettes, crepes and eggs Benedict are all delicious. My go to is the smoked salmon Benedict. Maybe it's me, but we always feel like the coffee is mediocre. The fried... More

We went to Promenade for my mother's 85th birthday. There were 11 of us with varied food needs. The staff were welcoming and accommodating of requests. The food is exceptional, and they have a nice wine list. This is a bistro/cafe, so don't expect fancy ambience. It is lively, relaxed...French :)

Go from Croque Madame! You will love it! Best view in the city. Make sure you finish with a homemade dessert! My wife and I love the warm French bistro inspired menu and they cater well to her gluten allergy.

We pre-booked this prix-fixe dinner with wine pairing for a family event a few weeks in advance and were very satisfied with the outcome. The best experience of all was the opportunity to try a variety dishes and wines. Between each course, we received a very detailed and interesting showcase of what was to come, including the history, geography and... More

Made reservations on Open Table ap, system confirmed the 7:30 reservation. When we got to the restaurant they had no record of it. Regardless they sat us in the overflow area by the front door and hostess station... not the best seats with the kitchen noise, staff conversations about chapstick and the draft from the door. After a minute we... More

Came here intending to get some breakfast with my wife one morning but arrived too late (breakfast had ended) and ended up having something form the lunch menu instead. I don't remember exactly what I had, but I remember it was average. What I remember was that the table behind us (a business lunch) was rather noisy, so if you... More

We visited Promenade with business acquaintances and enjoyed a lovely meal. Good contemporary combinations emphasising natural flavours, in good sized serves. Enjoyed a great bottle of wine selected by our local colleagues. The location was great, having views across the river back to the city which glowed with the evening sunset. The service was very good and it was a... More

I would definitely return and try dinner next time. The lunch menu has create soup and sandwich combinations with homemade borscht. Was it ever great. Service was excellent as well. Well done.
