Went to a lunch meeting to this location. First impressions were not received well. I needed to circle the block twice to find any parking withing reasonable walking distance. Our waiter did not seem to be on the ball, he went through the motions but his timing / attention was off. We had to ask twice to get our bill.... More

What a great find in St Boniface! I had trouble deciding what to try on the menu...some great choices. Landed on the Bison Tourtière which was very good, served with whipped potatoes and an assortment of freshly sautéed vegetables. Will definitely be going back to try their fixed price 4 course dinner with wines to match. Highly recommend.

Came here for a business lunch with a college. The food was wonderful. I had the Bison Burger which was absolutely amazing. The Atmosphere was great. Professional during the lunch hours but I am sure in the evening it could be considered romantic. The view from our table was great, the Provencher Bridge & surrounding area. I would recommend this... More

Had a wonderful "fixed price" 4 course dinner here with wine pairings matched to each course. Everything was delicious and all the courses were perfectly spaced. We were treated to delightful Christmas music played by a couple playing guitar and flute. We went with another couple and all enjoyed our evening there. Lovely warm ambiance too. Highly recommend this little... More

My husband's birthday weekend was full of celebrating as a couple and as a family. First up, was a cozy dinner at the Promenade Cafe and Wine-a place that I have been to once for lunch and my husband had never had the opportunity to try. When I had originally booked, I chose a little table right against the window... More

Went out for Christmas breakfast with friends and it was the first time at The Promenade. We booked a table on line so as not to be disappointed. The atmosphere and seating were very welcoming, but it was cool in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good, breakfast menu was slightly limited in the crepe section. Parking... More

French Quarters St-Boniface...a great stop by this restaurant is needed. We had lunch there with 25 people. The first time we could all eat together at the same time. Food was presented nicely and it was delicious. I really liked the sugar pie (my favorite). The staff is friendly and helpful.

We ordered the quiche with a side of soup. The soup was indeed very hot, the quiche was room temperature. We also ordered the mussles with frites. The fries were cold and the mussles barely warm. Our waitress was no where in sight but the other much more alert waiter came over and had the food warmed. We got the... More

Promenade was a surprising but rewarding find. It is a small room in a little strip mall overlooking the river and Provencher Bridge. It is a comfortable, informal room. This would be a popular local haunt in any Paris neighbourhood. The menu is mostly French comfort food -- boeuf bourguignon, coq au vin, tourtiere, moules. A nice feature for me... More

My husband and I stopped by after work for a drink and appetizers. What an amazing bistro. Much larger than I realized. The view of Esplanade Riel and CMHR are spectacular. The atmosphere charming and cozy. The service professional and attentive. We had the 1/2 pate with our wine and were served a lovely plate of yummy pate, crostini, cornichon... More
