Four of us had dinner at the Oakwood using one of the Groupons that are frequently offered. The steak was well done, not medium rare as ordered, and was sent back. The pickerel was also over-cooked, had too much breading, and was tasteless. I should have sent it back but didn't. The salmon was bland and very lightly grilled. The... More

Four of us went for a birthday dinner because we had heard it was good and wanted to try it. The salads were small and the caesar salad was very bland. Two people ordered chicken, the smothered chicken and chicken parmesan. The chicken breasts were extremely dry and the vegetables were cold and undercooked. The ridiculously huge baked potatoes were... More

Heard good things and wanted to try. Service was very good. Order #1 - Potato and ham soup was delicious. Pickerel was tough and tasteless and overcooked, fries were greasy and both overcooked in what tasted like old oil. Veggies were cooked fresh but cold and tasteless. Was sent back and ordered chicken strips and fries. Again, both were overcooked... More

First time I tried Oakwood was for lunch and experienced a very nice fruit and nut salad altho a couple of the salad items listed on the menu were missing from my salad. The kitchen was out of them, so replaced with fresh fruit. Nothing was mentioned or offered until I questioned the missing ingredients. The salad was very nice... More

I went here for breakfast and it was really good. Purchases a groupon and went with a group of people for dinner. Ceaser salad was amazing ! I ordered the steak and shrimp, asked for a rare stake. When my dish came out the server said the shrimp was not ready but she wanted to bring out the meal anyway... More

The last time we went to the Oakwood, it was excellent, so we expected more of the same this time. Unfortunately it was slightly disappointing this time around. The salad, a fruit and nut tossed salad which is an upgrade, was tasty but tiny. The 'loaded' baked potato wasn't. Actually it was quite dry. The chicken parmesan was good, but... More

We went to the Oakwood Café for Mother's Day dinner. We have been several times before and had good service and delicious food. Not so on this occasion. We ordered prime rib that had been sliced and grilled like a steak. It tasted like charcoal and was over cooked. The baked potato had a big black spot in the middle, which... More

A group of four of us had lunch together at the Oakwood recently. The space is typical, predictable, and comfortable. It's not pretentious, and doesn't pretend to be anything it is not. Each time that I have been to the Oakwood, the food has been the same. It is consistently good. It is not amazing, incredible, or memorable - but... More
