Great food and atmosphere

There are so many great places to eat in the Exchange I can't apologize that there are still those I'm experiencing for the first time after working in the area for almost six years. Such was the case with the King's Head. So what more do I have to say besides I was there TWICE last... read more

This is a great Irish type pub and the service is great. After a Hearty Meal and a Pint or two the evening gets even better with Winnipeg’s Top Live Acts. Ok Maybe a few more Pints during the Show.

Kings "Dead" has gone downhill in overall quality substantially over the last year. Having been going for around a decade, the deterioration has become quite noticeable. The staff at one time was knowledgeable and polite, but now are rude and uncouth - Specifically the night manager. For privacy concerns his name will not be revealed but Star Wars is a... More

This is a great place to stop for a beer and dinner. The menu has been revamped since our last visit so there are even more dishes to try. The fish and chips are always a good choice as are the curry dishes and roti. There is a wide range of other options including burgers, sandwiches and British pub food... More

Step into England down town Winnipeg. That's what it feels like when you step into the Kings head pub. The ambience is great and the food is excellent with loads of good old fashioned British choices on the menu. And if you are in the mood for a delicious curry or even curry chips they have that also. Guinness is... More

I would definitely try this place again because they seemed to be great for drinks and I didn't try any food but hear it is excellent. But I was a little put off by the level of cleanliness. That being said, this is a pub. So you don't necessarily expect it to be super clean. The building is beautiful and... More

Visited the pub for St. Patrick's day per the recommendation of some friends from Winnipeg. It was a holiday so they were very packed but even still our waiter walked by us multiple times before asking if we wanted drinks. Of course we want drinks, we are at a bar! We asked what beers they have on draft and our... More

The diner was so good we went back for lunch the next day. The curried lamb, quorma lamb and butter chicken were wonderful. We would have liked to go back to try more but had to fly home. The service staff were super friendly, welcoming, energetic and took great care of us. The atmosphere was energetic, fun and comfortable set... More

You would never expect to have a great indian curry dish at a pub but here in winnipeg the kings head is the place to be for lunch. The place has been renovated but still feels and has some of its old grubby pub feel that brings character. The food is unexpectedly delicious!

Set squarely in the Exchange district of downtown Winnipeg, this pub is a stone's throw from Chinatown, the market square and the main downtown area. It's a good place to stop for a quick bite and a pint when in the area. It has a standard pub menu featuring fish'n'chips, bangers and mash and a few non-standard entrees like a... More
