Great Neighbourhood Restaurant!

I absolutely love Bonfire Bistro! A funky restaurant nestled on a corner in River Heights. Fabulous pizzas, incredible entrees, and delicious house specials. Not be missed while in Winnipeg !

We were visiting Winnipeg for the women's World Cup and taking in places around Winnipeg and stopped in here after going to the zoo. The place was busy but the service was great and the lunch menu was varied. The pizza and salads were very good and the portions were large. It is definitely worth a visit or two when... More

This place is my fave place in Winnipeg for pizza. So hard to pick a favorite. I also love the Greek salad and the flatbread with hummus. A great place to meet friends, too bad it's not bigger, sometimes it's hard to get it.

Great wood-fired pizzas from margherita minimalist to smorgasbord extravagant. We all had pizzas but the menu board showed some alternative creative cuisine is also available. We started by sharing one of their 'make-your-own' Bruschetta plates and finished with some homemade desserts - all were excellent. Service and ambiance were good. Cost was a tad over $30CAD/head +Tax+Tip.

They have great stone fired pizza and great jambalaya - a bit on the mid price rangee side, but seems like an upper scale side of there having dinner or supper - a bit of a trendy type of who's who in that area. I took my wife there for an anniversary date but it was not secluded enough for... More

I ate here last week while in Winnipeg for Canada Day. We had three starters( mussels, red pepper & hummus dip and bruschetta with goat cheese). I had the Mac & Cheese with Capicola, others had a Bison Steak and Lox Pizza. All the dishes were great we had a bottle of white wine and had a wonderful dinner with... More

This place was quite busy even for a mid week, early dinner. The staff was friendly, service was okay. The restaurant felt cramped. I felt the food was overpriced for what I got. I ordered the 'Mac n Cheese' , but what I received looked more like macaroni soup (the sauce was so hot that it was liquid). It tasted... More

The one and only draw back for me was the extension to the restaurant. The original area has charm and character which the newer area does not. It is more "cool" in the feeling you get when you enter it, lacking in the relaxation felt in the older area. It in no way affects the quality of the food served... More

Serving staff has always been personable and know the dishes to help with choices. Never had a bad experience and been there several times. You do need to go early on weekends to get in for dinner as they do not take reservations -many do stay and wait to get a table. Summer can be a shorter wait as people... More

This place is quite busy. I'm not sure if they take reservations. We waited for about 20 minutes. The staff are quite friendly but the service was not that good. Our server was busy at the bar talking and watching the soccer. The food is average. I was hoping it would be better. It would be nice if they had... More
