Decided to try this restaurant because of the excellent tripadvisor reviews. It didn't disappoint. It's all about the food here as the decor is sparse and plain but clean and well kept. Had the Caprese salad to start and it was a nice blend of greens, tomatoes and boccaccini finished with balsamic. After that had the Spicy La Bomba pizza... More

My wife and I have now gone to Bonfire Bistro about 6 times. It has consistently been a good experience. The service is good, the pizza is great and just a nice atmosphere. I prefer to call this kind of restaurant a Boutique restaurant. Small enough to still have that quiet evening, but big enough to offer a varied menu... More

I won't say this is the best pizza ever (haven't tried them all), but the Bonfire Bistro's pizza was pizza perfection . Found the Bonfire Bistro on a list of best places in Winnipeg while preparing for our visit. It was an easy and worthwhile drive from our downtown hotel to this nice neighborhood spot (easy parking out front). Very... More

Whenever we want a sure thing, this is where we tend to try to get in. Because they don't take reservations sometimes we have to wait, but it is well worth it. Always great daily specials but our standard choices are to split a salad (they are all good!) and have a pizza (also all good!). My absolute favourite pizza... More

The Bonfire Bistro is a wonderful neighbourhood bistro in the Corydon area of Winnipeg. I found the restaurant on Trip Advisor and the reviews seemed in line with what I was looking for while attending a convention in Winnipeg - a smaller, local independent restaurant with a very interesting menu that had a number of excellent vegetarian options. Myself and... More

We arrived at 7pm yesterday (Fathers' day). We got seated within 5 minutes. To start, we had stone roasted flatbread with hot spincah spread. It was to die for. Following this we had the spicy hawaiian pizza. This pizza was increadibly good after being baked in the wood fired oven. Will definitely come back for more, and probably takeout too!... More

This is our go-to restaurant for wood-fired pizza in Winnipeg. It has a great bistro atmosphere, and excellent pizza. If you have not tried Bonfire, you need to put it on your list! Note - As far as I am aware, Bonfire does not take reservations, so you have to be prepared to wait. They have bar top seating, which... More

We visited the restaurant for lunch in June 2012 and was fortunate to try their supper in May. I rarely order fish in restaurants, but their red snapper was without question the best fish dish I have ever eaten. Absolutely amazing. Their beet salad is out of this world yummy and something that your taste buds need to try. We... More

We made sure to go to Bonfire Bistro early on Saturday, arriving before six because they do not take reservations. I love their menu, it's original and eclectic, as were the night's specials. The one that sticks in my mind was the 'Surf and Turf', which passed over the predictable lobster to offer a portion of smoked whitefish with the steak.... More

"The foodies" (from the Winnipeg Free Press) were right - well worth a visit. We visited based on a reference in the paper and checking up on the internet - the menu looked good so we thought we'd give it a try. The verdict? We'll be back! The roast vegies and goats cheese when added to the mixed salad were... More
