This restaurant is not far from our house so it was a great choice for our anniversary dinner. it's one of Winnipeg's best kept secrets. This Caribbean restaurant is very intimate, seating no more than 30 people or so. The owner and chef is Trinidadian and the servers are usually her daughters. Everyone is super friendly and attentive. They have... More

It is a good place for lunch, they were quick and food was good. Did not offer coffee or dessert. Yes

A tiny hole-in-the-wall Caribbean restaurant hidden inside a French dive bar. I visited for lunch with a few friends, and we were blown away by the food. The appearance and atmosphere is that of a friendly but dated neighbourhood diner, and gives no hint as to the quality of the food it serves. The small (and well-priced) menu is focused... More

If you enjoy spice and different flavors give it a try. The menu changes often as for the side dishes. Cassava frites were good, jerk wings were nice and tasty, and my bison was grilled perfect and was tender. The atmosphere needs attention but if you can overcome that the food is worth it.

This is a small intimate family-owned restaurant that features some of the best Caribbean food I've ever had. (I am from the Caribbean and have lived in several different Caribbean countries.) The doubles were superb, with the melt-in-your-mouth quality missing from doubles sold in similar restaurants. I also had the jerk ribs with the delicate meat falling off the bone--perfectly... Small, family-run place. Service was good and staff very pleasant. $10 corkage/table which is very reasonable. We had the cassava frites(good) and the doubles(OK) for starters and I had the chicken cumin dish which was very good. The rest of the party had shrimp/ribs/bison dishes for mains and no one raved about their food. We are probably not really familiar... More

Another Winnipeg ethnic gem. So happy we took a chance and tried this little restaurant. Even though it's tiny, it's exceptionally quiet, even when all the tables are filled (including one family with 2 very well-behaved children). One suggestion - in the evening, some dimmer lighting, tablecloths, and some low music would spruce up the decor, and make the atmosphere... More

I frequent this restaurant ever since I moved into the neighbourhood. The flavours are unique and complex, the service is always excellent and the value is great. Hands down, this is the best Caribbean food in Winnipeg.

I ate here with friends on a Thursday night. Great food. The chef/owner visited our table after our meal. A great family owned restaurant experience. For people who like to eat at restaurants off the beaten pathway. We shared several dishes. My favourite was the fried plantain. The chef was very accommodating. We didn't bring our own wine, but you... More
