My wife and I went for the Five-Course Tasting (Groupon) last evening, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The ambience was superb; the staff friendly, informed and attentive without being obtrusive, and the five course meal was perfectly designed. Every course had my senses fully engaged and I found myself eating slowly and fully exploring the complex flavours in... More

At $43 pp I expect a high quality buffet...unfortunately the one my wife and I experienced was pretty average, definately no WOW factor. Food: 1st course - smoked salmon, shrimp and salad was decent. 2nd course - fruit was limited, melons, pineapple (which we needed to peel) and a few strawberries. No raspberries, blackberries or blueberries. 3rd course - the... More

We went out to the restaurant to celebrate an 89th birthday, but after being seated we were informed that the heating had broken down. It appeared that there was one electric heater in the restaurant that did not provide any heat. We were asked if we would like to have some tea or coffee to "warm up" but to be... More

The restaurant is now called Terrace Fifty-Five which is the old name for this location and as they have just become more sea food oriented. We have a local magazine in Winnipeg dedicated to the restaurant scene called "CIAO". Every February the magazine in conjunction with a number of restaurants puts on a "DINE AROUND" program as a promotion during... More

This was, undoubtedly, one of the best family outings and eating eastablishments so far encountered. The family members chose to select different food items so a good cross-section of the menu was enjoyed. The presentation was tasteful and appeared inviting. The waiter, (Dean) went out of his way to ensure that our sojourn, under his service, was as satisfying as... More

Went with another couple to celebrate my wife's birthday. Very close to where we all live so a short taxi to allow lots of wine! Excellent menu and wine list. Very good service. The atmosphere is quite nice with all of the glass. Food is priced appropriately with quality (expensive but worth it).

Our brunch with friends was a complete disappiontment compared to previous visits. The room was very cold and some people wore their coats. Much of the food arrived cold or not warm. The servings were petite and our omlettes consisted of very little filling rolled in some sort of crepe. This was the first time I have had an omlette... More

On a chance stop while visiting Winnipeg and spending the day in Assiniboine Park, we enjoyed a lovely midday meal here. We were warmly greeted by professional staff and seated at a table with crisp white linen. The room was nearly full and the server still made time to explain the dishes and carefully answer our questions. Our starter was... More

You really can't beat the value for your buck here. There are three brunch levels to choose from, although I don't know how anyone could handle more than the basic one. It consisted of the standard offering of complimentary mimosas, coffee, pastries, fruit plate, dessert and then your choice of entree. Service is suberb - get there as early as... More

We ate on the terrace at the back of pavilion restaurant. The Lobster and Shrimp salad roll was very tasty. The so called Carrot Cake was a very big disappointment.
