Assiniboine Park is also internationally renowned for its Zoo, The Leo Mol Gardens, conservatory and art collections featuring the works of Ivan Eyre, Clarence Tillenius, and Walter J. Phillips. Terrace is a short 10 minute drive from the airport and 15 minutes from major downtown hotels. Seasonal local, regional and national ingredients are highlighted with an emphasis on freshwater fish and seafood. Gorgeous location. We have eaten here both summer on the patio and winter inside. The decor is elegant. The service is professional and attentive in the old-fashioned style which some may consider obsequious. The menu is varied and the wine list very good. As of 2014 the side dishes are à la carte. They are expensive but quite generous and... More

This is a lovely place for a leisurely 5 course brunch. Includes a mimosa . You choose an item from each course. We've tried several main entrees- all delicious and beautifully presented. You can't beat the beautiful location in Assiniboine Park.

Had never eaten here before, tried it on a freezing cold -40C night, very few customers but was pleasantly warm inside. Very cozy decor, lighting was certainly good enough to see menus etc. Service was very attentive, did find it very funny being told the spoons were for the pasta (our waiter must have thought we were a bunch of... My second Sunday brunch here, first visit with my wife. Their table service version of a Sunday Brunch is excellent in so many ways, I was informed this was going to change in the near future, I hope the new approach will be as successful. The quality and diversity of the menu items was the high point for me, but... More

Our party of four dined here mid-week so it was not busy. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. DINING IN THE DARK: By 5:30 pm when our appetizers arrived, it was so dark at our table that I couldn't distinguish what was on my escargot appetizer dish, We asked for a table lamp but were told they didn't have a... When the romance bar is being set, mine is very high indeed which makes selecting a place for Valentine's Day dinner a difficult task. Terrace in the Park is located in a glass atrium which has been built onto the side of the historic Pavilion of Assiniboine Park. My husband and I had the pleasure of being invited to their... More

We went to the Terrace in The Park for lunch as we had a $100 gift certificate. When we entered at 12:45 the place was freezing, even with space heaters set up. Some folks had to keep their coats on to eat. My husband and I each ordered a glass of house wine and a bowl of soup. The soup... More

Wow, celebrated our company Christmas party at this establishment. Fantastic!! Seating was great for the amount of people we had (20-25). There were other people also dining in the restaurant, but really didn't even notice. Hope we weren't too loud!! Sorry if we were. Food was great, from the chicken in mushroom sauce, to the Berkshire pork chop, to the... More

Haven't been here since the menu change. What we ordered was excellent in both taste and presentation. My only concern with their menu is that for someone with a fish, seafood, and nut allergy the selections were VERY limited. My husband has such an allergy and the waiter advised the kitchen and he had no problems. However, as far as... More

The fish and seafood focused menu is not only creative, but it delivers. My favorite anre the crab legs or the BC honey mussels when available. The Oyster selection is also great !
