I know nothing about the hotel, but based on the restaurant, this has to be a good place to stay. The staff was friendly, the food was quite good, and the prices resonable, particularly considering the location. Go to the grocery store and you will my point.

In the off season, the Seaport is one of the few restaurants open on a regular basis. So it is a popular draw for that reason. I usually just get the super special as it is a good filling meal at a reasonable price.

but great in the Reef Cafe. Attentive service, were more conscientious of the customers than some restaurants in Winnipeg or Vancouver!!! Very good food, nice and hot!

When the temperature is -40C/F, any restaurant that's inside is probably decent. The restaurant at the Seaport Hotel was fine for our small group. Breakfasts were quite good at the Seaport - very generous size and quite tasty eggs. Lunch and dinner were nothing to write home about but at least the food was hot and the coffee flowed freely.... In mid-winter, this is the only game in town, so I guess they don't have to be so great. For lunch I had the buffalo burger, about a 2" diameter patty on a 4" diameter bun, and it was well done. The fries aren't worth the calories and the soup was not as good as Campbell's. Still, it was sustenance... More

I think it is unfair to compare Churchill restaurants to those in less remote and more densely populated places. It is way more difficult to do business in Churchill and practically impossible to get comparable assortment of goods for cooking, to say nothing about prices. Churchill restaurants should be compared to each other. This is why I don't understand why... More

We only had 1 meal here during our 3 night stay in Churchill and thought the food and service were ordinary to say the least. On the night we were there, there were only about 10 people in the restaurant but I had to keep asking the waitress for drinks. Place looked clean and reasonably new but food was dry... More

We found that the restaurant can provide great food also for larger groups or for travellers with little time. I can recommend the chicken teriaki and the club sandwich that I had (on different occasions). It seemed they didn't want us to stay too long in the evening, but otherwise the service was good.

We were in Churchill with a group on a Polar Bear tour. We ate a couple of times at other restaurants in town but only once for dinner at Seaport. The food was fine and the service for our fairly large group was quite good. I wouldn't say that this was the best mean we had in Churchill by any... More
