This is run by a Portuguese family and has a biz more pizazz than you would expect to find in the tundra. The rhubarb pie, made with fresh locally-raised rhubarb from a greenhouse, was not too sweet and maybe the best I have had!

We ate here several times, and enjoyed the food and the local diner vibe. Baked goods and breakfasts were quite good, fish was a little expensive and just OK, the pizza was absolutely tops

Gypsy's Bakery and Restaurant can be a busy place which speaks for the good food it serves. As it fills up it gets a little noisy which didn't bother the six of us. Their bakery has a magnetic draw that most customers who come it navigate to before leaving, taking a "goodie or two" along with them.

For eating, I think that, there is no better place than this in town. You will find a lot of good food. It was always fool house.

We ate there for several meals while in town for the polar bears and every meal we ate really well. the fresh pastries were great every morning, and they can make a mean cappuccino. Staff was great, always friendly and attentive.

This is a fun place to eat but do make reservations for lunch and dinner. The menu is very interesting. You can also order sandwiches to take with you.

Great food. Had counter service to order. Good selection considering you are in Churchill and miles from food sources. Friendly staff.

Remember where you are-- a long way from the markets of Winnipeg. Given that, the food served here is good, wholesome Canadian fare. Not great, but tasty and satisfying. The ambiance is OK, rather plain, but not distracting. The separate bar area has a pool table and a friendly atmosphere. The service was pleasant and attentive. One problem is that... More

Who doesn't love a bakery. I sure do. For me, though, Gypsy's true value lay more in its apparent status as *the* meeting and hang-out point in town than its tasty treats. The food was good but I went for the ambience and to eavesdrop on the locals conversations (want to get a real sense of a place...? Eavesdrop on... More

The restaurant has good hearty food that is needed for this cold place. It is good, the bakery is amazing. The supply the town of Churchill with bakery goods. The characters that come in are worth a visit.
