Moby Dick has never disappointed us in the past 15 years. It's a restaurant our out-of-town visitors always want to go to. The food is always fresh & delicious. The coleslaw & clam chowder are delicious as well. We even had the deep fried pineapple & ice cream dessert... super good. We were there this Sunday & we had the... More

We have been going to Moby Dick's for years. I know that they use special potatoes grown in the valley and that they change their cooking oil often. For this visit, I was on my own. I had gone for a photo shoot across the street and on the rocks looking south across the water. When I was finished, I... More

They have the best fish&chips in Metro Vancouver area! So many people cannot be wrong for 40 years! Hands down the best cod and chips I've had so far. And the location is good if you are on the East end of the beach, If you don’t where to go to for your fish&chips, ask locals and they will say... More

I still can not figure out why so many people like this place. When the place is busy the cooks seem to rush the cooking procedure and in my opinion over crowds the fryer. The fish then comes out soaked in oil with holes in the batter because of the improper cooking temperature. The chips sometimes leave a grease pool... More

This place is the one to go to on marine drive! The fish is exceptional, and the portions are huge. In fact, their policy is to give an extra piece of fish.. You buy a 2 piece meal, and you get 3 pieces. My husband & I split an order. Because of the constant lineup (you could wait for a... More

After reading so many good reviews, my husband and I were quite disappointed with the fish and chips in this restaurant. The batter was dark and greasy. The fish was undercooked. The fries were dark and soggy. We usually order halibut, so we were disappointed not to find it on the menu. We will not return here.

My wife and I went to this establishment yesterday afternoon for a late lunch-early dinner and were encouraged to go due to a gift certificate we won at a golf function in the spring. We have eaten here many years ago and found their food to be fine and hence no qualms about returning. What a major disappointment! We ordered the seafood... More

Cannot beat the quality, taste and freshness of the fish here. Have walked along the street and compared fish at many different place. They excel on service and friendliness. Just look at the lineups, they speak for themselves!

The guy who wrote the review entitled"Not a Whale of A Tale" is writing about a restaurant down the street called "Whales Tale" definitely not Moby's. Hate to see a bad write-up about one of my favourites. BTW, they use real cod! NO mystery!

I went for lunch with my client/friend Paul, who lives in White Rock and had the best fish and chips I have ever had. Apparently they have Alaska Cod shipped down to use. Worth the drive out there for sure.
