Yummy!

Stopped in for lunch - long lineup, good sign that food is good and we were not disappointed. Although because we said we'd sit outside we didn't have to wait long (most people wanted to sit inside given direct sun and warmth). Fish was great, fries were good - we would go back again!

The only reason it only got 4 stars is the prices. One thing you have to know is that if you order a 1 pc fish and chips you get 2 pieces of fish. They have lots of fun things to look at inside. Homemade fries that mostly go to the gulls because there is no way you can eat... More

I love the take-out window! Always order one-size down, because they always throw in an extra piece of fish. The crunchy batter is really good, and the chips are home-cut style. But it tastes better if you eat it at a picnic table along the shoreline. And the service is always fast and friendly.

I promissed my daughter that, while on the coast, I would get her some really good Fish & Chips; Moby Dick is the place to go!!!

Stopped at Moby Dick's for an early lunch today (opens at 11:30 and gets very busy at noon). We each got an order of the smaller portion fish and chips, which still had a generous portion of fish and plenty of French fries. The food is served piping hot and the fish has delicious batter that is crispy, but not... More

When a fish & chips craving hits, Moby Dick's is the place to go. We've been here several times over the years and the food has always been consistently good whether you eat-in or take-out. Portions are generous! Sharing two orders between three people works well unless you are famished or feeding a teen with a "hollow leg". Moby Dick... More

The battered fish looked great coming out the walk-up window, golden brown and crispy, yet what we found inside was a lot of grease and soggy fries. Good news is that the seagulls across the street aren't as picky and my daughter had fun feeding them the leftovers, of which there were a lot. Definitely order and take the food... More

We have visited Moby Dick for years and always looked forward to the next time. For the first time we were very disappointed with our food. The fish was "flat" meaning you could tell when it was delivered it was not light and crispy as usual. The batter was under cooked and the fish dry. The chips were also not... More

No visit to White Rock (especially East Beach) is complete without a take out order of Fish & Chips. And none are better than Moby Dick. There is usually a large line during the summer (there's a reason for that large line - it's so tasty), so best to send one person to stand in line while the rest of... More

Took an out of town guest and another friend here for a casual lunch. The food and service were both great. Just remember you get an extra piece of fish with order. We had enough to take home for another meal. It is a busy, busy place but you'll know why once you take that first bite into the fish... More
