Great service

My friend, her teen-aged son and I visited the Moby Dick on a Tuesday for lunch. We were impressed that the little restaurant was full, but soon found that the cheery waiters surely accounted for a lot of the crowd. The boy is gluten-free, so this was not a great place for him as they cook the... read more

Was recommended by a local, so tried it visiting friends. Small and not elegant, but not why your there. Excellent Fish and chips, coleslaw just right, prices pretty decent for the location and the amount you get. Ask the waitress "how" to order before you do as you get very large portions, and it may be in your interest to... More

This is the best fish and chips on the beach. Not that much room to eat in the restaurant but there are picnic tables by the beach. Watch the seagulls they can be aggressive. They love Moby Dicks too.

Ate here previously and thought it was very average despite others recommending it. Called here tonight because someone had mentioned new management (?). A lady, who I thought might be the owner, totally ignored me while she made petty small talk with a man who had already been served. I was about to leave when she suddenly asked what I... More

Never been a fan of deep fried food but was convinced to go because of the Groupon deal. After a short wait, we were seated and order placed. My chowder came a little late, the chef came to apologize and mentioned they never served that much soup in 15 years. There was good reason for it. It was GOODS. The... More

It was good but very busy. We had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated and when we asked the server to give us a few minutes while we decided, we didn't see her again. Eventually a manager took our order. The food didn't take too long once we ordered and it was really good! The tarter sauce was... More

Moby Dick's has the best 'Fish'n Chips' on the beach. Have been eating fish 'n chips for years on the beach and they are consistently the best using real Cod! Weather providing usually do take-out and eat on the beach but have enjoyed the rustic beachy diner inside.

We have been eating Moby's fish and chips for years. It's consistently the best fish & chips we've ever had. And their tartar sauce is the perfect accompaniment (a secret in-house recipe). You can dine in their beachy dining room, on the patio or pick it up and take it across the street to the beach to eat. Phone ahead,... More

When in White Rock make sure and stop in for lunch at Moby Dick's for their fish & chips. It's the best fish & chips you'll have ever! The restaurant was a bit crowded but we got there at the perfect time to get a small table by the door. It got busy really fast afterward. Service was a bit... More
