Right on west beach

Great location near the water. Food is fair priced, service is excellent. Get there early to get a seat on the patio and watch the cars and people stroll by.

Took the better half for fish and chips today, I was satisfied but not massively impressed. The portions were very small. The fountain pop was not right at all. It was supposed to be Pepsi but it tasted like the lines had had beer run through them at some point, and this was for regular and diet. Something a miss.... More

Absolutely everything here is made from scratch and it shows! Delicious fish and chips, and you would never even know it's gluten free! The staff did an amazing job even on a hot, busy afternoon. Washrooms were clean and well maintained. Tables seemed to be all well looked after and tended to. Large salad portions, and house smoked salmon were... More

Service was great. Really liked the environment. Breakfast was well made. I had the salmon hash and my family tried the bennies. We were all happy with our orders. I would go back.

We came for brunch here and these are the things we liked/disliked: Pros: - wonderful location and the place is well decorated. - the food is delicious. -the service is really good. Cons: - I had smoked salmon and despite it was really good, I just would have loved having a bit more of salmon. Hence, I find it a... More

Jan's On The Beach is our absolute favourite place for Brunch. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. Our favourites are the omelet with your choice of ingredients and the seafood crepes (not always on the menu but worth asking for as they will often make them for you anyway) Their patio is lovely if you're lucky enough... Sign says please wait to be seated. Did not say how long to wait but I finally went to find a staff member to ask if we could just sit anywhere. Only two tables were occupied at that time. For a beautiful Friday evening that should have told us something. Took so long for our wine to arrive that we... More

Jan's is one of only three restaurants I will eat at along Marine drive in White Rock. The food is original (original twists -- even on menu staples), fresh, and locally sourced. The menu and chef are outstanding. Its not a chain restaurant, just a high quality independent restaurant that pays attention to ingredients.

We were visiting White Rock on a beautiful sunny day .The ocean view was picturesque and there many tourists as well . We had walked for quite a while and decided to stop at Jan's for coffee and something to eat . the service was pretty slow and wondered why, considering that we were really the only ones there .... A Beautiful summer evening and were fortunate to get outdoor seating. The server was very attentive and approved with our choice of the seafood fettuccine (pasta with clams, mussels, prawns and fish) for me at $21 and the seafood Jambalaya (rice with chicken, sausage, prawns scallops and clams) for my husband at $26. When our meals arrived his looked liked... More
