Good for lunch on the beach

We had cod and halibut chips. The batter was light and crispy. Considered to be good value for the money. Service was quick and friendly. My problem with white rock is the high cost of parking $3 per hr. Consider going to Hooked at Crescent beach which has free parking and excellent fish and... read more

We were visiting White Rock on a beautiful sunny day .The ocean view was picturesque and there many tourists as well . We had walked for quite a while and decided to stop at Jan's for coffee and something to eat . the service was pretty slow and wondered why, considering that we were really the only ones there .... A Beautiful summer evening and were fortunate to get outdoor seating. The server was very attentive and approved with our choice of the seafood fettuccine (pasta with clams, mussels, prawns and fish) for me at $21 and the seafood Jambalaya (rice with chicken, sausage, prawns scallops and clams) for my husband at $26. When our meals arrived his looked liked... More

Just had an amazing brunch , the eggs Benedict were perfect. The view is gorgeous and the service top notch. Really enjoyed the overall vibe of this place. I would definitely come here again.

Great locations, good food, nice atmosphere and excellent service. Try the white wine Sangria - its great and well priced.

We had halibut and chips and the fish was very dry and over cooked. Our server told us that it was the gluten free batter that gave the fish a different texture. The batter had nothing to do with the chef's inability to cook fish properly. We told the server that we were not happy with our food and she... More

We had high hopes when we tried Jan's a couple months ago. However, we found both the food and the service uninspired and see no reason to return.

We hummed and hawed which restaurant to choose along the strip, read the reviews for Jan's, read the website extensive menu and had a chat with her to set up serving a birthday cake and were really looking forward to the food. Service was fine but the food.....ugh....dried out calamari, gluey arancini, and dried up fish.. Hot seafood salad dressing was... More

This is a great place to eat and enjoy the sea view. We had fish and chips and it was all very well done and presented very well. The chips are HOMEMADE and absolutely the real deal. A very nice night out.

Took thirty minutes for the waitress to bring me a menu and then another thirty minutes for our drinks and hour for a simple traditional breakfast When the food arrived it was very good but not worth this poor service and long wait
