Beautiful location

A "must" stop on our annual trip to the coast. The fish has a nice crispy batter and good size portion, the chips are always plentiful. The few minutes to wait at the walk up window is worth it to have excellent fish and chips on the beach.

Thiught that been so close to the water would give me a sense of enjoyment when having fresh seafood. Instead after ordering Fried calamari, I was dissapointed, they look just commercaily bought ones, you kniw the usual round donut like calamari. I was expecting freshly cut calamari but they were not. They were greasy also. Next time, I will ask.

we just explained our gluten free problem and, sure thing, they can grill you cod or halibut only washed with egg. excellent taste. and the fries do not taste fish. I guess they use a different fryer. the East Coast Style Clams Chowder is very good. everything was fresh a tasteful. friendly service. they have only big fans not a/c,... More

We went to White Rock to have Fish and Chips. First choice was closed, but Coney Island Fish & Chips was the alternate we were looking for. We had our two dogs with us so went to their takeout window. Not knowing the size of the fish pieces, ordered a one piece cod and chips and a two piece cod... More

Good food not great. The portions were good but slightly more greasy than I like. The place looks like a truck stop but defiantly has the real deal in fish and chips. Calamari was good too.

We have been frequenting Coney Island for years and still find it to be the best fish & chips on the beach. My granddaughter just loves their chicken strips and says they are the best she has ever had! The food portions are large and we usually have a hard time finishing but we do!!!! The onions rings look really... More

If you are looking for a lovely date night with romantic atmosphere then go somewhere else- If you are ok with flashbacks to the 60's and a knowlwdge that the booth you are sitting is over 60 years old then hunker down and enjoy a meal. In the summertime it is always a nice cool place to hide from the... More

We saw good reviews for this place on TA and were not disappointed. There is no ambiance to this place and first impression wouldn't have drawn me in but the service was good and the Seafood Platter my hubby and I shared was delicious! Big portions. Don't be thrown off by the exterior... It's what's inside that counts (:

I love Coney Island, they serve the best fish and chips in White Rock. The place is reminiscent of a fifties chip shop but that only adds to the charm. Also like that it is a multigenerational family business.

We went for a stroll along the White Rock Promenade yesterday and feeling hungry for French Fries passed by Coney Island Seafood. Thinking they would be like all the others along the strip, I was wrong. I ordered a medium fries thinking a small portion only to find it was a very generous portion and taste wonderful. There was so... More
