This restaurant is a cute gem on the strip and their menu is not huge but definitely covers the aspects of French cuisine. The prices are moderate and I suggest getting the seafood salad. It's loaded with mussels, scallops and fish and at 15 dollars, this is not one to pass up. The crepes and sandwiches are very rich because... More

Le Vol Au Vent is unique in this part of the Lower Mainland outside the Vancouver City itself in that it offers authentic French cuisine cooked by the hand of a master - all fresh ingredients and a menu that took me back to eating in the family restaurants of rural France. It doesn't take many diners to pack out... More

There were four of us for the 'bite of the rock', the annual dine out for WR. fixed priced menu $35. Well worth it for both quality and portion size. A fantastic Camembert pear salad for starter, followed by a choice of half duck tl'orange, bouillabaisse, rabbit among other choices. The deserts were fantastic, tarts, creme brûlée, poached pears. All... More

I came here with friends who are well acquainted with Nana and Michel who own the restaurant. I guess it's the sign of a good restaurant when they able to pack it full of people on a miserable cold weekday night in November. We did have to wait about half and hour, but other than that, everything was exceptional. Nana... More

Dining with locals, we were thoroughly delighted with all on offer. In our group, we had vol a vent with chanterelle mushrooms, seafood salad, duck l'orange, escargot, lamb cutlets. Nana, our friendly hostess, enticed us whilst we perused the menu, with her offerings.. She watched keenly as we consumed each delicious morsel. Have I mentioned the huge range of delectable... More

We used to love coming to this place but the last time we were here at the end of June it had really gone downhill. It was a Friday night and the owner who also is the only waitress, was so overwhelmed that we received really bad service. The chef, who is also the owner, could not handle all the... More

Very good French food with staff that make it delicious! The Chantelle mushroom vol au vent was very tasty and highly recommended. In fact, WHAT A HIDDEN GEM!! This has to be one eatery to visit along the White Rock promenade. It's somewhat deceiving and the decor a bit hole-in-the-wall compared to the plethora of other restaurants nearby, but sit... More

Have eaten here several times. The husband and wife team make you feel welcome as soon as you enter. He's chef in the open kitchen and she's the whirlwind who takes care of EVERYTHING else. The food is unpretentious but very French, with a neat presentation of a filling portion. He's not afraid of butter, so no worries about getting... More

We went there on a sunny friday night. We had made a reservation and arrived on time. Yet, we waited at the door an observed one woman running around who barely took note of us while we stood there for many minutes. There were several empty tables; we could have seated ourselves, but we politely waited. We were finally seated,... More

While lots of restaurants were packed and overbooked om Mother's Day, we had our table right away with a nice welcome. Seafood salad is great and I agree, desserts are irresistible. Will come back when I in White Rock again.
