We rented bikes at the shop opposite Portobello and cycled for a few hours around Lost & Alta lakes. With the bike rental we got gift certificates for Portobello & so ended up back there at about 2pm.....we had a really lovely lunch sitting outside , eating their fantastic sandwiches . Great location , just remember it closes at 5pm!

Came here after a morning of biking around the lakes STARVING and looking for a filling lunch. I paid $6 for one (!!!!!) slice of pepperoni pizza, and the bf $11 for a build-your-own Italian sandwich. No hot fillings (ex. Chicken breast). No meal deals. Was left still hungry and unimpressed.

Good service and great all around experience. Try their pizzas. The portions will be enough for two adults .

If you like food and you like sandwiches Portobello is for you! For one flat price you can have as much meat and salad on your sandwich as you like. They are amazing!

...like any hotel. But decent food AND (which is rare in NA) they've got good bread. so we went there several times. Need to add we were staying at the Fairmont anyway... ;-)

It a breakfast, early lunch place in the basement of the hotel. Good for the kids, very friendly staff. Avoid the awful breakfast wrap, and leave the horrid scrambled eggs. Waterbased porridge, make sure you add blueberries, nuts and cinnamon. Great cakes, buns, danish. Good coffee and hot chocolate. Good value compared to upstairs restaurant for breakfast. Open early am.

Whistler is full of sit down restaurants, which is nice most of the time. But this was a great option (especially if you stay at the Four Seasons or the Fairmount) to get a quick and good breakfast. We got breakfast burritos and a pastry (the raspberry scone was delicious).

Best place we found to eat! Excellent value, service, atmosphere, and of course food! Oh the food! Sooooo good! Bakery items are fresher than any bakery back home. 5* and then some!
