Great atmosphere but it doesn't last

We popped in for some drinks and a snack after a day on the mountain. The Longhorn is the ideal location and loads of others had the same idea. Service was great considering the amount of people. Had an OK lunch after coming off the mountain one day but were turned away the next day as they don't allow children after 2pm! Whilst this is clearly their licensing it is out of synch with the family atmosphere of Whistler and general vibe. No obvious debauchery to make inappropriate for children - certainly at that time of day.... More

finally a good mix of modern style, good choice and quality of the proposed meals, really dedicated personnel and even well-balanced music (style, excellent sound quality) so that we could have fun and talk together!

Recently went to Whistler for a weekend getaway with the Girls and stopped by Longhorn. I must admit that when I lived in Whistler I would most likely never think to go but all the buzz about the new patio had me intrigued! What a great change! The patio is definitely one of the best in Whistler and changes the... More

Dear LAP647, Thanks for leaving us your review of The Longhorn, and I'm glad you had an awesome time! Our new patio renovation has created just the kind of buzz we hoped it would, but has also given us some really good ideas on how to further enhance it before next winter. Our next project will be to renovate the... More

We came for lunch mid ski day to meet up with family members who weren't skiing. The location is convenient- right at the base. The prices are stratospheric. $19 for nachos. Want meat on those - add $5. Longhorn burger with fries is $20. But the one that really galled me was $3.50 for a soda refill. Simply taking advantage.

Dear CharlieR617, Thanks for leaving us your review, and I'm glad you found our location to be convenient for meeting your friends! Contrary to your comments, The Longhorn is priced very much in line with similar bars in Whistler and also with other ski resorts in the region. Our menus - along with prices - are available at all entrances,... More

We hit up the Longhorn pretty much immediately after getting off the mountain every time. Pitchers of Kokanee and nachos. Gotta get the nachos! Good selection of other beers as well. Can also get crazy for late night partying as they move a bunch of tables for dance partying and what not. Service is pretty damn good too for a... More

Hi wkaage, That's an awesome review, thank you! Jugs of beer and nachos are very much our bread and butter, and are what make us tick. If you're in Whistler again in the near future, I'll have to get you to try our new in-house brewed Longhorn Lager - it's every bit as a good as Kokanee, I promise! Hope... More

Not a fan, not one bit. Stopes in for dinner. It SMELLS! Like fifty dive bar. The carpet is filthy, unclean. If this is how the owner takes care of his business. What do they think of us the customer.

This is the best located restaurant in Whistler. While you eat you can see people coming from the mountain. Have lots of heaters outside and it is warm inside. The price is proportional to the location. Something that would be nice is that if they had their own bathrooms. The ones available are the public ones.

Dear Pedro R, Thank you for leaving your review of The Longhorn, and I'm glad you like our location! The Longhorn was actually one of the first bars in Whistler - built before any of our neighbors in the surrounding plaza, so I guess you could say we had the best pick of locations right from the start! It is... More

The patio is great after skiing. Warm heaters if you need it. Very friendly crowd. Easy to meet others since the tables are pretty close together. Views are great watching skiers come down the hill. The location is great. Park your skis at the door. Variety of good beers. Great Nachos. The staff was very attentive, friendly and took the... More

This bar was good but got better this year as they have placed a glass roof and overhead heaters on the outside bar area. It improves the outdoor après ski experience , especially when Whistler is having one of its wet days. Music is great and crowds are big but well behaved. Everyone is too busy enjoying themselves to cause... More
