We wanted our last night in Whistler to be special. After perusing all the restaurants in the city square, we determined that this one offered the nicest atmosphere and varied menu of unique items. Sure, it was a little pricey, but what do you expect for a place that offers lamb, quail, veal, and other items not typical at the... More

Nice restaurant but quite pricey in comparison to others in Whistler. Service was generally good although I think they could have waited to clear the bread stuff after we finished our main course.

The restaurant has a nice ambience about it. Hubby had the scallops and found the meal a little lacking in size. The chicken was tasty and not a bad sized meal but a few vegies would of made it better. I feel it was a little over priced for the portion size and Service was a little lacking. A wait... More

We dined here on our last night in Whistler. Our family of 5 had a nice outdoor table so that we could enjoy the people watching and fresh mountain air. Our service was great and so was our food. There was also a live piano player in the restaurant which added to the very nice ambiance. We had a our... More

The restaurant is a good diversion from the prevalence of pub food offered throughout Whister Village. The service was efficient, if a little stiff. The selection of entries was good and our meals were quite good. The restaurant is attractive and at least momentarily suspends the reality that you are in a planned vacation destination that is Whistler Village.

Spent 4 days and 3 nights in Whistler, this was our worse dining experience by far. If you enjoy waiting 90+ minutes for your dinner and then to have it come out average - this might be your place. Service was below average, at one point my daughter had to get the water from the waiter station to refill her... More

We visited Il Caminetto di Umberto on our recent two week trip to whistler. It was a quieter night when we visited and we were able to get a table without a reservation. We were seated at a window table and our server was very friendly. I ordered the salmon which was delicious, it came with salmon caviar which I... More

Have enjoyed this restaurant many times over the years, in fact it's been one of our favorites, but service quality has definitely declined; water glasses not refilled, forgotten bread, and generally inattentive service. The food is great, but service is definitely disappointing. 4 star food; 2 star service.

We had reservations and were seated by a window which was a great table. Service was generally very good except our server forgot to share the specials with us. We shared a Caesar salad and it was yummy. Hubby liked his fettuccine prosciutto entree while I had mixed reviews on the veal piccata as the veal was greasy and not... More
