Excellent Italian food and service

We sat outside and had dinner here. The food was excellent and the service was also very good. It's a bit pricey, but the menu is diverse and the food is worth it. The outside seating is great.

Were in Whistler for anniversary this past November. Nice restaurant a bit outdated in decor. Waiter was alright not awesome, pleasant guy. Food was good not alot for the money. Portions are a bit small for the money. Would I go back probably not with such a huge selection in the area.

We arrived in town quite late and were looking for a quiet relaxing late night meal. The food was impeccable. The pasta was cooked perfectly and wait staff was helpful and prompt. The only downside was how loud the table next to us was. The deserts were very tasty

We ate at Il Caminetto the day it re-opened for the season. We had made reservations, which was unnecessary. The wait staff were AMAZING and attentive, and the food was delicious. Prices are obviously high, since it's in Whistler and a higher end restaurant within the village. I had the special of the day, which was a piece of halibut... More

Concierge called ahead and reserved table. Glad she did as it was quite busy. Were seated promptly but table was in rear of restaurant overlooking next dood time shares pool. Not a great view BUT the service and food more than made up for it. Good wine list--nice Pinot Grigio selected at moderate price. Apps were very good as were... More

The menu items are unique and this is a restaurant that knows how to do food well. From appetizers to dessert, everything is prepared just right and the taste is delicious. You'll spend a little more, but it's worth it.

We really enjoyed Il Caminetto. Well prepared and tasty Italian food. More upscale than its companion Tratttitoria, which we also tried, and which is better for kids: noisier, informal, not so much a fine dining experience as a good solid meal. Il Caminetto is the older, more refined sibling. Both were great. Enjoyed the lobster pasta!

Il Caminetto di Umberto is one of our "go to" restaurants whenever we are in Whistler. While it is on the expensive side, it is well worth it. There is always a varied menu selection so something for everyone. The service is outstanding.

Have been before with my wife and friends and it was expensive but ok. This time I went with my teenage daughters and we were seated in the bar, alone in a far corner, having walked past many open tables. The hostess was condescending, if not arrogant. Wait staff were slow, boasting the same wonderful attitude....we walked out. They could... More
