Still the best

Unpretentious fine dining with excellent ingredients and cooking. Araxi is perhaps more 'interesting' (and also very good), but Caminetto I think overall ultimately delivers the better food taste experience.

Reserved table 2 months ago. Seated right at kitchen door! Asked for different table and was moved to other side of kitchen door!!! Noisy. Crab cakes for appetizer was OK. Main course ribeye steak good. Ganache for desert was just chocolate cake. When we were asked what we wanted to drink our two daughters were not even asked if they... More

The food was good, but not exceptional. The wine list has some very nice and more expensive wines. The staff and Michael the manager are most professional and courteous with there guests. Congrats to the team.

Great restaurant The bar is especially a beautiful place. Very sophisticated and Shannon & Bob are superb. Best restaurant and bar in Whistler. Expensive but worth it!

Classy Italian restaurant. Service is very good. Dishes were okay but not outstanding. A little more expensive than other Whistler restaurants.

This place is so beautifully authentic that we felt we were in Italy. The service was fantastic and the meals were mouthwatering. My husband had the mussels for a starter and he said they were the best he'd ever had. The gnocchi ragu, rabbit ragu, and pasta were exceptional. Bread served to the table was amazing as well. This was... More

Was only going to be in Whistler for one night, did some research and decided on Il Caminetto di Umberto for dinner. Atmosphere and service was great and it was the best chicken I had ever tasted in my life!

In approaching our dinner, we were slightly disadvantaged by having enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Trattoria di Umberto. Nevertheless, we could appreciate why this restaurant deserves its high ratings for service, food, wines and ambiance. Very good indeed.

Let's put it that way: It was not average but good, but it wasn't very good! Service: very good, drinks, very good, pricing: too high, ambience: too outdated, variety of dishes: very good, presentation: simple and coming back to the price, too simple, quality of food, good but not as good as you would expect for the price comparing to... We chose to again spend our last night of our holiday dining here. Although expensive it again lived up to and exceeded our memories with wonderful food, extraordinary service and atmosphere. The veal parmigiana is amazing but all dishes by our group of 7 could not be faulted. We look forward to returning again next year.
