This is a fairly small eatery on Blackcomb Mountain, but man, totally worth the trip up mountain. It's mainly known for its waffles and oh, what waffles! Probably the best I've ever had. And I don't want to know the calories involved. The standard Belgian waffle comes with maple syrup, berries compote, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings. You can add... More

The Crystal Hut is unique and a fun place to stop on your journey around Blackcomb's slopes. The weekends are busy so if you have a choice stop by midweek. The waffles are the drawing card and it's not that they are way better than any other waffle, it is the ambiance that adds to the flavor. On a sunny... More

The "world famous waffles" are no more. Ate here at few years ago and couldn't wait to return. However, the waffles weren't like we remembered and served barely warm. Worse, the fresh fruit (strawberries and/or blueberries) of the past was replaced with a sugary multi-fruit gooey mixture that made the waffles soggy. Neither of us finished our waffle. Big disappointment... More

It's quite average, and the place is small, but I suspect, it doesn't matter what I write here or whether you like waffles or not. Somehow, many of you (including those indifferent to waffles!) will make your way to Crystal Hut. You might even be excited to go there. You might even have a slight squabble about whether it's better... More

Meh waffles to honest. Mine was really dry and my side of maple syrup was cold -- who serves cold maple syrup?!? Not worth getting a waffle. It worth it to come inside and get warmed up.

25 cent wings 1-3pm, 40 cent wings 3-6pm. Good Flavor, they are small wings but for the price you cannot beat them. Good drinks fairly priced, decent drink specials. Its a no thrills bar, with good ambiance, and good specials.

This is a smallish log structure overlooking the valley, As today was a double event day, with the wisdom of Solomon I waited for a late sitting. Great idea: Seating available immediately! Bad Idea: Montreal Smoked Meat sandwiches all sold out. Sigh, I had to make do with buffalo stew! A decent bowl of rich broth replete with chunks of... More

Very pleasant inside but portions small and better value to be had elsewhere on the mountain. Great views though and if you are skiing this part of the mountain a nice ace to stop (chic pea over on Whistler a better bet for lunch).
