We visited this restaurant twice during our stay at the Chateau. Not very busy but pleasant environment. We discovered some excellent Canadian wines during our stay, but The Chalet did not seem to have the same choice as the main hotel. We enjoyed the cheese fondue and I noticed a couple of families experiencing their first fondues, which the children... More

The Chalet, open for fondue in the winter, is everything you would expect from a Fairmont restaurant and more. I requested gluten free bread when I made our reservation. The bread was freshly baked when we arrived and was so delicious I was afraid it was not GF. The cheese fondue was outstanding! They even made me a personal GF... More

Disappointing meal. Gone down hill after several years visiting. Just ok. Sauces were lacking flavor and variety. Hostess and servers were rude and making jokes about specific patrons behind their backs - very unprofessional. Drinks were extremely over priced. Portions are small. I won't be back.

Its a hidden gem. Good idea for having a test tasting table in the Fairmont lobby. You can hear guest rav about the fondue and hear how they want to book in a table. My friends and I booked a 8 person table. 2 of us are on a vegetarian challange to not eat animal products. My girlfriend and I... More

There are a lot of Fondue restaurants in Whistler, but perhaps the best is in a place you would not think of visiting - The Chalet at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Clubhouse. A few days before scheduling what turned out to be one of our finest fondue dinners ever, my wife and I were taking a day off from... More

We had a party of 8. Prior to arrival there was an expectation of a schnitzel meal being available. On arrival this was not the case it was removed from the menu. The staff and manager were most accommodating with offering alternate menus. Our waitress in particular was completely above and beyond a usual service. Made everything run smoothly to... More

We wrnt there for the fondue. The restaurant is part of the Fairmont complex. The hostess was a kind of rude; really unusual in Whistler. Very limited wine list, mainly limited to local wines. Wine pairing is part of the fondue experience, and I simply cannot understand why a place like this had such a poor wine list. Cheese and... More

After having cheese fondue in many countries we found this to be tasty and served in a nice winter setting. The service was great with options of a cheese or meat fondue. Although expensive, I remembered we were in Whistler and just enjoyed the meal. We enkoyed the evning and would return if in town again.
