Description: In its 23rd year, the Rimrock Café has delighted diners with its innovative, fresh cuisine and emphasis on the finest fish and game, artfully prepared with inventiveness and flair. The restaurant is consistently recognized as a local’s favorite for atmosphere, service and a sublime eating experience. Behind the large glass window of our lit cellar, all manner of wines from the glamorous and recognizable to the intriguing and new seem to hum seductively. Two fireplaces cast an ambient glow over the chatter and energy of our rustic dining room. In summer, enjoy your meal on a sunny patio. The seafood antipasto for two is the perfect start to your meal. Stunning presentation meets succulent, vibrant flavor among the six exquisite tasters. Try our Venison tenderloin, served with a porcini cream and homemade spatzle. For the seafood lover, our main course Trio is a harmony of seared Ahi, nut crusted Sablefish and grilled prawns. Complete your meal with Whistler's favorite desert.

All I kept saying to my wife last night was, "what a fantastic place to dine!" The food is amazing. Especially the Sablefish and Bison Short Ribs. From the moment we arrived the staff and especially our waiter were brilliant. Cannot recommend this place enough. Not to be missed!!

We book a sitter and eat at The Rimrock Cafe every time we come to Whistler. It's truly a highlight of our trip with the freshest seafood, extensive wine list, best service (same servers there for 20+ years says something!), and ambiance including roaring fire. This restaurant is truly one of the best in the world, such a gem in... More

Last night of our holiday and we all looked forward to our pre book meal. Well it was amazing. Every meal of every course was sensational. One slight criticism we had 11 or 12 different people come to our table during the evening.

We had a fireside table and enjoyed a cosy dinner for 2. Service good, not fine dining though and mains are priced at $30.00+. No chef samples or amuse-bouches or bread/ butter selection. Good wine cave with BC wines and many more. Lobster bisque was creamy and rich. Seafood trio of prawns, seared tuna and sablefish were good and nicely... More

Began with the Scallops and Pork Belly appetizer with the Scallops seared to perfection. For the Main Course I had the mixed grill plate. Oh my gosh! Filet, lamb, venison, and my favorite protein of the night duck breast. I almost had the duck course and bet it would be equally satisfying. If all this wasn't enough, I followed the... More

We planned a special family dinner at Rim Rock (reservations far in advance) and were seated at a beautiful table in front of the fireplace. The calamari, scallops, and ahi poke were fantastic. I ordered the lobster bisque as my entree, which was delicious. Others had the lamb and the salmon, both reported to be excellent. The 'lobster mashpotatoes' are... More

There are a lot of good restaurants in Whistler and we have eaten in most of them. Rim Rock stands out primarily on the more than excellent food preparation, although the wait staff is very good. We have eaten at Rim Rock two times over a period of six years and both meals were world class. We will go back... More

We celebrated to birthdays at Rim Rock on Monday night. We were served by John and his service was flawless. We started with the champagne oysters which were delicious. We followed this with various fish and meat dishes which were all wonderful. My man & I each had the special - 3 fish dishes on one plate - and I... More

Started with a tasty lobster bisque. The trio of fish is a really nice way to try a range of their dishes, I wish more restaurants did this. An excellent dessert medley which needs about two people to share, well made truffles, sticky toffee pudding was lighter than I expected, only minor gripe was creme brulees have too much very... We were in Whistler, skiing and found this on Tripadvisor. Had a great meal, in front of the fireplace with friends. We had a table of 8, but our waiter handled us well. Drank a Jereboam of Foxtrot Pinot, which was fantastic, Lobster Bisque was excellent, as was the fish trio special. Atmosphere great! Definitely would repeat.
