Nice little Japanese restaurant

This little Japanese restaurant is hidden away from the main village but is not difficult to find. If you were led blindfolded to this place, you will think that you have been transported to a typical Izakaya place in Japan! The menu is quite extensive. If this was in my hometown I would never post a review and keep this place secret for me alone. $55 incl tax and tip for three persons for a perfect Sushi meal with drinks! Cannot beat that anywhere in Whistler.

We visit Whistler at least once a year & tried this restaurant for the first time. Though very conveniently located adjacent to the Conference Center & half a block from the heart of the Village, it is tucked out of the way, so probably invisible to most visitors. As a result, it was not busy, though the food was great... More

Been to a lot of Japanese restaurants both in Japan and overseas & this is up there with them in terms of cafe style basic good food at very reasonable prices. Had quite an extensive drinks menu again at reasonable prices and service was excellent and for Whistler one great plus was no loud music, you could actually talk.

What a find! Our group was not able to make a reservation at Sushi Village so decided to come here. It is off the main village and on 2nd floor so not too busy when we visited. The restaurant is very cute, with tables and some semi-private tatami rooms. The setting is straight out of Japan! For a moment I... More

Ate with the family on Friday night. the food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Even the portion sizes were generous. My only problem was that there were just 2 waitresses on duty for the whole restaurant. They were totally frazzled but did their best. The owners should get more staff and it would get top marks!

Great little place to get a beer and some solid izakaya-style food and/or sushi. Food can be a little slow when it gets really busy though.

Came here twice during our Whistler vacation. The first time we were with a smaller group of 7 people and went earlier in the evening (around 6:00). We were in and out in an hour due to the restaurant not being super busy. The best thing to get is their BBQ pork ramen, Spicy Agradashi Tofu, and their mango roll.... More

This place is an absolute gem. The whole place is decked out like the Japanese village, complete with private rooms for large tables and awnings that jut out from the side of the walls to look like Japanese roof tops. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming, we felt really at ease and happy eating here. We had our... More

Unexpectedly excellent! the Salmon Sakana Kun Rolls (in kabayaki Bbq sauce) was so delicious ... 8 big pieces of sushi for only 9.50 ... and a great glass of chardonnay only 7.00. Various seating options for big and small parties but all sort of boothed ... so could suit anyone. Ours overlooked a parking bay. The rest dont really have... More
