Brilliant Japanese restaurant

Had a great family meal here. The restaurant is slightly out of the way, i.e. just off the main village way, but well worth the visit. service was excellent. friendly, attentive. courteous. Food was really tasty. The tempura had a lovely batter - light and crispy. The sushi was fresh... read more

We brought a Subway sandwich and bought some Sushi in this store. While trying to find a seat, the cashier came out and told us after you eat the Sushi here you need go out to have your Subway.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of this food. Was asked if we needed any explanation, but was very confused by a lot of the menu, not being an expert. Food was OK but not a lot of it. The mixes of ingredients meant there was a lot I couldn't eat, and the rest was not to my taste. Probably... More

I've always been the type of person who said if you do not like the proportion or the quality of food, just don't go back, but I have to say something today, went to Harajuku and ordered 2 Bibimbap to takeaway, after paying and tipping, got home to find this, I was already shocked at the proportion of the meal... I've been to all the Japanese restaurants in whistler and this one is by far the worst value for money, I came here for a quick take away and after waiting for too long I still tipped the service staff well. I was extremely disappointed by the portion size and quality of food. This is regretful as up until now... More

This little Japanese restaurant is hidden away from the main village but is not difficult to find. If you were led blindfolded to this place, you will think that you have been transported to a typical Izakaya place in Japan! The menu is quite extensive. They have a variety of sushi, udon, ramen and rice to choose from. Food quality... More

If this was in my hometown I would never post a review and keep this place secret for me alone. $55 incl tax and tip for three persons for a perfect Sushi meal with drinks! Cannot beat that anywhere in Whistler.

We visit Whistler at least once a year & tried this restaurant for the first time. Though very conveniently located adjacent to the Conference Center & half a block from the heart of the Village, it is tucked out of the way, so probably invisible to most visitors. As a result, it was not busy, though the food was great... More

Been to a lot of Japanese restaurants both in Japan and overseas & this is up there with them in terms of cafe style basic good food at very reasonable prices. Had quite an extensive drinks menu again at reasonable prices and service was excellent and for Whistler one great plus was no loud music, you could actually talk.

What a find! Our group was not able to make a reservation at Sushi Village so decided to come here. It is off the main village and on 2nd floor so not too busy when we visited. The restaurant is very cute, with tables and some semi-private tatami rooms. The setting is straight out of Japan! For a moment I... More
