Description: Named for the curvature on the side of a ski or snowboard, Sidecut offers...
Named for the curvature on the side of a ski or snowboard, Sidecut offers a modern take on traditional mountain cuisine. Situated in the celebrated alpine location of Whistler, the restaurant's sleek wood interior offers an inviting setting where diners can cozy up to the open fireplace or dine on our sun soaked patio. Enjoy dishes such as the Steakhouse "Sushi" Roll, Bourbon Birch Braised Belly of Pork, or prime-aged steakhouse cuts, cooked to perfection and inimitably paired with house-made rubs and signature sauces. Featuring a locally-sourced menu that evolves seasonally, the restaurant's farm- and ocean-to-table influence pays homage to British Columbia's diverse fare. To complement any meal, the extensive wine list features international labels as well as an exclusive selection of B.C.'S premier vintages. Here, steak is more than a meal. It's an experience.

Heard about the steak

2 of us visited here because we had heard good things about the steak. We were not disappointed. The place was half full at 7pm and an acoustic guitar provided some entertainment. We initially sat down in the wrong place (a more casual bar area of the venue with the same name but a limited... read more

Be sure to ask waiter to describe menu selections; we were surprised to find "tuna wrap' actually contained raw tuna and the taste was not of our liking.

For the price we paid for a steakhouse in a Four Season restaurant we were disappointed. Our wait staff was satisfactory. My friend and I ordered the same salad and one came with mango on top and the other did not. Then the salad was overdressed. The steaks were absolutely wonderful. The molten chocolate cake was overlooked and dry which... More

Lots of food served outside on the patio buffet style. Live music. Really quite nice except the food was mostly almost cold. Hence the "Average" rating. At C$32 each I felt it was good value but I do enjoy my food at least warm if not hot.

We tried sidecut BBQ night. Fair selection of food and salad . Price is very reasonable and outstanding friendly staff , which help you to feel the high standards of the Four Seasons hotel. Only one observation , the menu mainly pork meet. Otherwise ok

Our first meal in Whistler, we arrived after a long flight and then drive to the hotel, so we were looking for something safe and good after a long day. We were not disappointed, though as some have pointed out you are definitely paying Four Seasons prices. However, as far as FS restaurants go, this one is one of the... More

We enjoyed our time at SideCut sufficiently for me to say it was very good. The service is attentive and the food is tasty. But almost everything on the menu is something we can eat anywhere (and in many cases cook ourselves) and frankly my steak wasn't extraordinary enough to justify its price. At $400 for a family of four... More

Sidecut in Four Seasons is known for its sea food, the decor is beautiful, you can play a game of golf once you have ordered, cause they take quite sometime to get your order, but is very delicious, the staff is very helpful, my wife is a vegitarian and with not much in the menu for vegitarian, they still managed... You can always depend on a good meal in a FS restaurant. Not always exciting or unique but done with quality and care. Sidecut fit that bill but also had the benefit of some truly world class meat. Our family shared the long bone and a rib eye steaks and they were both perfectly done med rare and seasoned beautifully.... More

The food was wonderful - lots of choice for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike, and the chocie of cocktails was very impressive. Our server, Elle, was extremely friendly and very helpful in putting together recommendationss for things to do during our stay. If you do visit this establishment, do ask for Elle. Also, try the Grapefruit Ale...a definite winner on a... More
