If you find yourself with the primal urge to explore your inner caveman whilst at Whistler then Sidecut is the place for you. Not because you have long hair, a protruding jaw and a fur coat (although some patrons have at least one of the above) but because you are in need of serious red meat. Located in the Four...

I can honestly say this was our best meal in Whistler. It is expensive do be prepared, but not ridiculously so, expect around $100 a head. The steaks were fabulous, the fish less so, but still okay. They could do with slightly simpler rubs for the meat as there is a risk that it is overfussy and spoils excellent meat,...

We visited Sidecut twice during our recent stay in Whistler. The meals are slightly more expensive than you would find in the Village but the meat is excellent qualtiy and the rubs really add to the flavours of the steak. The hostess and the waiting staff are attentive and helpful.
Had the T bone again here - it really is very good. Didn't think much of my apatizer (ceaser) but the steak is to die for. I do think the best in Whistler having tried pretty well all the other places.
Service this time was very good - unlike last time, but I still don't get this fascination with the...

It took well over half and hour for our pre dinner drinks to Arrive and an hour plus for our entree. We had three or four waiters and they were good when they attended us but it was sporadic. We started with local oysters that were great. The highlight was undoubtedly the steaks, they were prepared perfectly with a rub...

My family and I were on a spring break skiing vacation and we stopped by Sidecut to experience their renowned 52 ounce T-Bone Cowboy! It is both a huge cut and a big value. With the cost of the steak, you get 4 appetizers, 4 sides and an $80.00 credit towards a bottle of wine. It's a well thought out...

They had given away my pre booked table and had to haggle for a window one- in the quiet area.
Food is staggeringly good and the steaks to die for .But oh dear the service was all wrong and lacked managment control.
We had 5 or was it 6 different staff serve us and we repeated our requests so many...

Dinner at Sidecut set a new record for us for the most we'd paid for dinner for two (the previous record was also in Whistler, at the Bearfoot Bistro several years ago, but that's another story), and that's despite our drinking wine by the glass rather than by the bottle. Was it worth it? Yes, this is really an excellent...

My husband and I are foodies of the first order, and must say that unfortunately there weren't many venues in Whistler that were anything to write home about. BUT Sidecut was definitely a most welcome exception!
The ambience was great, and the service was absolutely impeccable. It was a Saturday night on an American long weekend in January so Whistler...
