Fabulous food in Whistler

Great dinner at tn easy-going bistro in Whistler. The prawn, scallop and tuna toasts appetizer was sublime. The seafood tasted like silk. The mains we chose - bison short rib and duck breast - were delicious. There was lots of duck on the plate, and it was totally succulent. We couldn't find... read more

Ran in alone, no REZ and ate at the Bar. Came based on referrals of 'fellow CAMPers' I had skiied with. Once I saw BISON Short Rib on the Menu, I knew I was in the right place. The Root Veggies Salad with Goat chesse was outstanding as well. I almost licked both my plates. My only pet peeve, charging... More

We had an absolutely phenomenal meal here. It's expensive, but it's worth it. Oysters we fresh and wonderful. Elk Tartar and Foie Gras Parfait was incredible, such a creative dish. Bison Short Ribs dish had so many incredible flavors that combined to form an amazing dish. Halibut was perfectly buttery and smooth with just the right amount of fish taste.... More

One of us had the bison, and greatly enjoyed tasting completely new flavor combinations. Sunchokes have a very delicate flavor, similar to artichokes. The duck was tender and the flavor combinations worked well. The salad of root vegetables worked well, although the beets could have been cooked a bit more. We greatly enjoyed sharing a lovely mound of chocolate mousse... More

Greeted by the owner Eric and his welcoming smile, seated at a great table for our party of 7, coupled with a creative menu paired with great wine and excellent service...yea, I'll be back every time I visit Whistler. You must visit this restaurant. Great balance of creativity, simple, complex and understated everything from the food, to the decor. A... More

Quaint restaurant located on the perimeter of Whistler Village. The menu offers food that is source from the local area. Service is good and wine selection is great. Pork belly is average and I would steer you to one of the other entrees - have enjoyed the beef short ribs and the duck - both are delish!

Alta Bistro is one of my alltime favourite Restaurants and definitely the top favourite in Whistler. The menu is always adopted to seasonal and locally available food, which is prepared in a delicious way and never disappoints. Service is excellent and the waiter/waitress knows exactly what they are selling. Also, they will recommend you the perfectly matched wine to your... More

This has become our favourite restaurant in Whistler. It's a little pricier but totally worth it. The food is locally sourced, the dishes creative and overall menu excellent. The service is also great. Be sure to taste the bartender's signature cocktails and order the in-house-baked bread.

We visited this restaurant on the back of its reputation. A pleasant environment and great display of pickles. May be we just didn't choose well, my husband was presented with anaemic looking slices of pork with equally anaemic looking accompaniments and I chose a vegetarian mushroom tart which looked OK but I couldn't cut through the base! Considering we just... More

The menu was very original and they had great cocktails. The waiter knew very well what was on the menu and could give us some advice on what to choose according to our tastes. All the staff seem passionate about their products! Very nice atmosphere. Just loved the place!
