Don't miss eating eating here if you ski Silver Star

I would definitely drive from Vernon for the meal we had. I had the wild mushroom soup, after which I thought anything else will be a disappointment, however my main of veal with mushrooms was incredible. The room has a ton of character, the walk to the bathroom is really interesting. The owner... read more

For nearly fifteen years my wife and I keep coming back; we have enjoyed dinner at Isidore’s three times in the last six weeks, last night with our niece and nephew. Service was prompt, presentation was nice and taste was great. We both have dietary restrictions that Isidore always accommodates. The chef/owner is attentive and attends every table to answer... After being seated, we were told the corkage fee for the bottle of wine we brought for our friends was $25.00. Absurd. Then the Chef came over like a big bully with all his gear strapped on, not to say hello, but to stand there for what we don't know, smug faced, until my husband said, "You must be the... More

Thank you for your feedback, I am disappointed to hear that you did not have an enjoyable experience at our restaurant. With regards to the corkage fee; it is common knowledge that if you bring your own wine to a restaurant anywhere you will be charged a corkage fee. Obviously restaurants make their profit on food and beverage and this... More

On a recent ski vacation, we ate lunch at Isidore's every day of our vacation. The food quality and preparation was off the charts. The lunch service was efficient and great value. We also ate supper there a couple of nights and were equally impressed with our menu selections. The staff are very attentive and it was really cool to... More

TOTALLY met our expectations!! Actually came to Silver Star partly because of Isidore's.. and cheese fondue! Has special meaning to my boyfriend (from QC) & I. Visited on NY's Eve. Perfect, warm, cozy, old-world European charming atmosphere. Excellent service (sorry-can't remember your name! ... from Milan, Italy). Cheese fondue, calamari app, and winter salad - all wonderful! For wine, our... More

Really enjoyed our lunch here. The restaurant is cosy and comfortable. We got a table without reservation. Husband enjoyed the burger and I enjoyed the goulash with crunchy fresh baguette and coleslaw. Isidore's has character and its food stands out from the rest of the mountain lunch fare.

Chef Isidore took time out from his work in the kitchen to welcome us. Veal in mushroom sauce with spaetzle was presented with freshness and was very satisfying. Ditto for the special: linguine with smoked salmon in a lobster sauce - rich, delicately prepared, with lots of fresh spinach. The chocolate-almond torte with int ice- cream was one of the... More

Some great value dishes here. The Swiss Burger at lunch, the mushrooms with cheese, the Swiss salad to name a few. Highly recommended.

It's a quaint restaurant that has a real family run and owned feel. The owner and Chef came out to talk to the tables which is always nice. We ordered the swiss onion soup, stuffed chicken, and veal dishes. They were both nice and filled my spaetzle craving. I would go again. the staff are very acommodating.

Don't be put off by the unpreposessing interior, which is strip lighting and t&g wood panelled walls. On our first visit, we were shown to a table and there appeared to be a bit of an incident in the kitchen between chef (owner ?) and the waiting staff. Regardless, service was great and the food excellent. Presentation was superb and... More
