Great place for a lunch stop, fresh seafood with a great harbour view.

My husband and I enjoyed the salmon fish and chips, can chose between halibut, salmon or pacific cod. All fresh, 1 piece to 2 pieces, prices ranging from $10.00 to $22.00 depending on type of fish and number of pieces. We also enjoyed a bowl of the seafood chowder which had a chipotle coconut... read more

Delicious (and sustainably caught) seafood in Victoria's downtown harbour. The halibut and chips is so tasty and the chowder was wonderful (we actually went back and ordered more to take home). The line moves relatively quickly and the food is actually worth the wait. Enjoy the views of the harbour while you wait.

The only downside I've heard is the lineup. We happened to be there in mid-February, and from some of the talk between the staff and customers, they had only re-opened after a winter closing? Anyway, our lineup was minimal. But the food was not. Nice spicy chowder, great batter on the cod and on the oysters, and the fries, even... More

First time to Red Fish Blue fish but boy do they deliver! Daily Specials, outstanding menu, variety in Seafood and all cooked to perfection. I bought 3 Tacones.. Jerk Salmon, Fried Cod and Sockeye. All were fantastic the Sockeye was cooked to perfection, jerk was spicy but nice and the cod was amazing. I live in the northwest and have... More

So working nearby I've always looked forward to when this place opens up again before tourist season starts and you can't get in without waiting half an hour. I've now been twice this week and have been disappointed. First time I went down for some fries. Large fries are $5 so I expected a bit more but the tray was... More

Delicious sea food. During the busy season, the line can be long. It is worth the wait. A great view of the harbour. The staff are friendly, even though they are super busy. Depending on where the events around town are going on, this location can be convenient. Enjoy.

I tried this place because I had heard so many good things about it. I may have built it up too much in my mind. The food was okay, but very greasy. My biggest complaint was the birds. Literally. Seagulls were dive bombing us to get at our food. I would have sat somewhere else but seats are limited.

Yes the food is tasty but the wait can often be an hour so be warned. I choose to go before eleven a.m. for a seafood brunch and avoid the lunch crowd. You can try a mid afternoon stop but sometimes they are out of some of their menu items by then. If you hate line-ups, I would suggest trying... More
