If you can handle waiting in line with dozens of eager patrons, then the wait is absolutely worth it. After being lucky enough to eat fish everyday during our 12 day 2014 summer vacation to Vancouver Island, I can say with certainty that Red Fish Blue Fish was my absolute favourite! Great fish tacos and amazing salmon. I can't wait... More

Red Fish Blue Fish is location on the harbor in a small shipping container. We were trying to look for it while we were walking on Wharf Street and we walked right past it a couple of times before asking someone to point us in the right direction. It is so small that it is easy to miss. BUT, when... More

Let's be clear right up front: this place has no inside seating and extremely limited and crude outside seating. That said, I still rate RFBF highly. Why? Da food, da really good food. My brother and I stood in line for one hour and finally got our spicy fish tacos. Man those things are good. Worth the wait. Didn't see... More

Located at the harbour near the seaplanes this cool little joint is a converted shipping container made into a seafood stand. The best time to hit this place is between meals when the line is not so long or non-existent, and order up a piece of halibut and chips. Be prepared to be amazed, the portions are generous and so... This was our first meal in Victoria, I had read it about it before and heard good things from friends. It was easy to spot because of the massive line-up and the hoards of people feasting on fish and chips. There were about 25 people in line already and we waited a good 45 minutes to order. But luckily we... More

Waiting is the name of the game here. Avg wait seems to be 30-40min just to order. The halibut, at $20 for two pieces, was delicious but I'm not entirely convinced was worth the wait. I did feel the cashier could have been much faster. Mind you, I was trying to wait while making sure my toddler didn't decide to... More

Waited in line 40 minutes under umbrellas conveniently placed, while outdoors in the hot sun. Then grabbed a spot at a lone picnic table nearby. It was worth it! Had delicious grilled salmon on salad and grilled oysters on a light slaw-like mix - so GOOD!!!! Two friends with me enjoyed their seafood as well. All cooked just right and... More

Long line that goes fast. We had seen this restaurant in an article, voted one of the top 10 restaurants. We walked down to the beach, found it and we were in line for about 15 minutes. Food is excellent. I had the fish and chips, halibut, for $20. It was a little expensive but they are huge portions, with... More

After reading the reviews this was our first stop after arriving in Victoria and it did not disappoint. The one thing I really appreciated was it was clear that at least half the people waiting in line with us were locals. I had the fish and chips and it was really delicious - not too greasy and seasoned really well.... More
