Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are...
Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub!

Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square.

Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week.

The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

Great clam chowder!

Looking for a place to hangout on a rainy afternoon? Look no further than this pub in the heart of downtown. Good food, drinks and service. They say they have the best chowder in the city -- and it may well be so. I paired mine with a nice amber ale. We sat at a window table and watched the... read more

Victoria is blessed with two proper pubs, in two historic buildings; one Scottish, one Irish. Irish time is an Irish pub and the decor is that of a high end Irish pub right out of Dublin. It's a gorgeous space inside with lots of lush seating and traditional high tables and stools. The bar is large and there are some... More

Entering this pub in historic downtown Victoria, you have no idea how large a venue it is. Two stories with lots of room for large groups, as well as secluded areas for more intimate conversation. So if you don't want to be with the rowdies on hockey night, you can hide away in relative quiet. Certainly a good place to... More

We stopped by for dinner and found the place really busy. The fact that some of the nearby establishments appear to be empty is a good indication that we were not the only ones who think Irish Times is a good place to be. The food was great. The staff was very attentive. There was never a sense that they... More

This place is great for a pint, and their lunch is pretty good. Service was also pretty good, and consistent since last time I came here. A good pub for some beer and food, recommended.

This is a great place to go on Government Street for lunch or dinner or drinks. Good atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, and a fantastic assortment of ales/beers to choose from. Pricing is moderate - not cheap but not out of the ordinary. Try the classic Shepherd's Pie - outstanding. We had the pizzas which were also excellent and several of the... More

Went for bday lunch. Meagre piece of halibut with tons of chips does not warrant $18!!!!! To add injury to insult the child's portion was the same as mine?! No wonder they don't advertise the prices on the website menu! If you want to drink and party and ogle the waitresses in thigh high kilts it's the place for you.... More

This was our second time at the Irish Times Pub. The fish and chips are good, but we chose fish tacos for lunch this time. The service was good and the food was good. We would choose the Irish Times Pub again when in Victoria, BC.
