Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity...
Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

Loved it

Loved the food and energy here....great selection of drinks as well. In the summer, it gets packed and there is a wait line to get a seat even at 10pm. The outdoor seating is wonderful and a great place to people watch while enjoying the tasty food and awesome drinks.

Amazing Pub with history galore. First the building Is over 100 years old, but in good shape. Lots of character in the decor from wood staircase, Victorian design and posters, pictures that tell of old distilleries such as whiskey in the 1700's and the same architecture that designed the Victoria Paliament building and the Empress hotel. The Irish times pub... More

I went there with a couple of friends who live in Victoria. Nice local hang out, very good beer selection (try the Blue Buck Ale, it's a local must). The food was just average (i had a burger, which as ok but not great). The ambiance is just great, with good live music. Good place to hang out with friends.

I always like this place, a pint in the afternoon or evening out. The live music varies , and last Saturday it was 70, 80's. Perfect for us 50 year olds. It has a wide age group but don't be afraid to go. Get there before 8:30 for a seat. Enjoy!

This place is a four-star for location and ambience, but a three-star in terms of food, drink and value. Came here on a Saturday night and there was a great atmosphere, with most of the tables full and a live band playing. This place does a good job at looking like an authentic Irish/British pub - cosy little nooks, comfy... More

We have been here several times over the years, both for dinner as well as lunch. Always good. Staff have always been great - prompt and friendly. Food is consistently good. Recently, I had an emerald salad for lunch - which I have had before and my husband had the dry ribs. The seafood chowder was delicious. I thought the... More

Often ( if not every night ) they have live music, it's a great pub atmosphere, save room for the decadent brownie dessert!

Popped in for an afternoon pint with my husband and were extended a warm welcome from the waitress, ordered two pints of Magners - the English version of Bulmers Irish Cider. It did feel like a Irish bar in the touristy kinda sense, but lacked the atmosphere of a genuine pub. Found the prices quite expensive also, just like the... More

Wonderful service, great ambiance, drinks menu fantastic - but the bangers and mash won the show. Im not usually a fan but my mouth was dancing with flavours. The onions, the mash creamy beyond belief, the gravy - tempted to ask for the recepie. Great way to waste time on a rainy afternoon.

We sat at the bar for some afternoon beers right after getting off the ferry and this place didn't disappoint! The bartender was very helpful with suggesting beers to try and they were all great!
