Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

We were able to walk in without reservations on a Thur evening and were seated upstairs. The food was pub style but very good, large portions, and excellent price. But what's a pub without what's on tap? There was a mind-boggling selection of beers, ales, stouts, and ciders, as well as the full bar. Very casual and relaxed, music downstairs,... More

What's not to like about an Irish pub, and a very friendly one at that. We visited twice, Saturday evening when it was packed with fun energy and an Irish band. And again, Sunday evening for dinner, quiet and relaxing. The atmosphere and service is great!

We visited here on a recommendation from our land lady, we were told the staff were friendly and there was a good atmosphere. She was right on both counts, friendly and knowledgeable staff, offered us some good beer choices and helped us work out way through the IPA selection. We were also treated to live music from a folk style... More

I have been to the Irish Times Pub and their second venue the Penny Farthing Pub in Victoria many times. They never disappoint for either service or food. Lunch today once again was excellent.

We stopped here for an early dinner after exploring Victoria on foot. From the moment we entered, we were greeted warmly by a hostess and promptly seated. We were in awe of the beautiful irish decor, the dark wood, the amazing lineup of beers on tap. Our waitress friendly, helpful, and very attentive. I ordered the best half pint of... More

I was on a work trip and the bartenders were super nice. Had a few good beers and a lamb burger. After a long day this was so nice and relaxed, yet classy enough to be a young single woman and not be harassed :)

We stopped here for a beer and bite while taking a day trip to Victoria. What a pleasant surprise! Great atmosphere, service was spot on, clean and the selection of drafts above average. Lunch was great as well. I recommend this pub!

We stooped by for a drink with outdoor seating that's always a plus in the pacific northwest considering our cloudy weather 8 months of the year! The service was great as were the cocktails! We will go back next year and try dinner there.

Nice outdoor seating area in warmer weather. You will get you photo taken as the building is quite striking architecturally. Food is good for pub food. Good selection of irish and local beers. Casual atmosphere. Eat here at least once.
