Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

My wife and I try to make yearly pilgrimages to Victoria, and this time around we stopped in at the Irish times pub. Yet another great restaurant in that great city. I had the corned beef and stuffed cabbage, and while pricey, is definitely worth it. It's a loud (in a good way), busy, vibrant place with great atmosphere. They... More

We had a great lunch in this pub and of course the Irish Beers and ales aren't too bad either! The food was very good, served hot and fresh. The beers were excellent. There were 15 taps on the bar for your choosing. Great place to spend an afternoon.

After a long day of sight-seeing in Victoria we realized we were hungry. Most of the shops had closed except for the pubs. The beautiful building that Irish Times is housed in caught our eye earlier in the day so we stopped to check out the menu. They had Shepherds Pie which sounded nice and warm on a cool night.... It was OK, we were seated off in a corner where we couldn't even see the entertainer. Guess they saw the gray hair. The food was good and the beer was too, but it was not an enjoyable experience for me.

We ordered two double Jamesons and ginger ale. When the drinks arrived the color was extremely pale and they tasted like water. We complained to the waitress, told her it looked like only one shot of whiskey had been put in. She said she would talk to the bartender asked us if we wanted another. She returned with a drink...
