Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

I have been a regular customer since the a Times opened and have had some great service and meals here but in the past 3 months the service has become very inconsistent. I have walked out twice after not being even acknowledged after sitting there for 10 minutes. Hard to believe when you have to check in at the desk... More

Nice location. On Government Street in the Bastion Square area. Friendly and attentive staff. Good food and drink selection. Reasonable prices. We ordered the Emerald Salad and the Caesar Salad, both very good. I just had to order the Fish & Chips, and they were great. My wife had the Mussels & Fries which were also quite good. Nice outdoor... More

Having visited Victoria before we had a favourite place to visit, having called in there (just down the road) we found we were not as happy this time round so decided to look elsewhere and found the Irish Times Pub and loved it. We ate here twice on our visit and found the food really good, we had fish and... More

Great food, a lot of choice in drinks but really terrible staff. They don't even bother to greet or thank you for your visit. So for the food it's a safe bet and you are not really bothered but snobby waitresseses, this is the place.

loved our visit here, sat outside, enjoyed the people watching, good service. Really felt like a real pub, so that was a bonus and the beer choices always fun to try something new.

This is a great pub; we ate both outside and inside. The Shepherd's pie is simply perfect in every way. Also enjoyed a scottish egg, a few pints of Guinness and the cabbage and corned beef. A great menu, beautiful woodwork, great service - can't wait to return.

We were in Victoria for the weekend, we walked around the downtown area and looked at a number of restaurant menus, this one appealed to both of us. I had the lamb burger with a cup of the soup of the day, my husband had the fish and chips. We both thought our meals were great. Great atmosphere and beautiful... More

We came in for an enjoyable meal and a pint. They serve Kilkenny, which we haven't been able to find in the States, so this was a special treat.

Stopped by while walking around Victoria and were pleasantly surprised. Cool building, nice staff, and beer for $5.00 ("new" Happy Hour!!) WooHoo!! We even ordered a pizza off the appetizer menu and it was pretty good. A bit pricy, but so's everything in Victoria! In answer to the obvious question, I can only say that, why we ordered a pizza...
