Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

Go for the good pub grub and good beer. Nothing spectacular but the place itself has that nice Irish pub atmosphere. Staff was friendly and service was fast. A good, quick place to grab a decent bite.

Enjoyed dinner at this pub. Lucky to go on a night with live music. Nice atmosphere. We should have shared dessert - huge serves (but really good)

We had lunch at this pub and found the staff very friendly. They were able to give great recommendations as to what we might enjoy to drink and eat. Can't wait to come back!

Couldn't get in for St. Patrick's Day but went the next day and had delicious meals. Friendly waitress, quick service, delicious beer according to my husband. A great evening.

We have eaten here a few times in the past two years and all but one time it was great. The food was actually really good and so was the beer. The patio location was perfect. Service was spot on. One time we went for lunch and the food was bad, but they were so ashamed they went over the... More

My colleagues and I stopped by the Irish Times Pub for an after-work event. They accommodated us very nicely and we all enjoyed the service and the food. It's a neat pub with nooks and crannies. The servers were very attentive and the pub grub we ordered was perfect.

This was the only pub we had time to sample in Victoria. It was somewhat posh-looking, but the food was very tasty, and the beer selection very good. The prices are higher but we had their daily special and that kept the bill in check.

This would be my go favorite place if I was a local...can't... More

A good atmosphere, great bread pudding and had excellent service at the bar. Unfortunately won't be revisiting. They serve their wine by 5 or 7 oz measures and charge $15 for a 7 oz glass of Oyster Bay noting this as a higher end wine. Quite over the top for Victoria and quite honestly just as good service, atmosphere and... More

The building is really impressive and the location on Government St. right near great shopping. We had lunch of a salad and pizza and both had lovely, delicate flavours. I especially liked the Red Racer IPA (from Langley) on draft. We came back fro poutine which was a very nice bite - but found Friday night at 10:30 to be... More
