Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity...
Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

Great Cod Batman!!!!!

My wife and I ate at the Irish Times Pub during our stay in Victoria. We really loved the atmosphere at the pub, I had the cod fish and chips and it was one of the best pub fish dishes I have had for a long time. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good pub food.

Just visited Irish Times with friends from France and they were blown away by the service. The food was also very good but remember they come from Paris so for them food was good and that alone is saying something.

Irish Times came highly recommended by locals in tonight's party and I can see why. Our food was very good while the service was friendly and efficient. Located in the heart of Victoria, Irish times makes good use of it's corner location with patio areas on both Government and View Streets. For a pub meal or bevies and appetizers, Irish... More

We got off to a slow start by trying their cider and beer flights. I had the cider and did find one that I liked, but ended up switching to Margaritas. My wife and DIL tried the beers and they were just OK. There were more beer taps than I could count but my DIL switched to Margaritas with me.... More

Walking around Victoria, we stopped here for a quick bite and draught. Great sandwiches, salads and full line of local and notable beers, plus wine, and liquor. It's a cute pub and we had a bonus of hitting it during a football (soccer) game so the crowd was energized. Sign said live music--probably later that evening.

This Irish-themed pub/restaurant is centrally located on Government Street so very convenient when exploring downtown Victoria. The décor is impressive – ornate ceiling and beautiful wood paneling. And the music was in keeping with the Celtic theme. The beer selection was impressive – a must-visit for the beer-lover. And the service was faultless. I ordered the fish tacos which were... More

I don't go to pubs very often: grimy surfaces, bad furniture, not so tasty food, etc. However, I really, really like the Irish Times Pub. (This must be what Carly Rae Jepsen was thinking of when she sang "I Really Like You".) The place was nicely laid out. Furniture was comfortable. Nice atmosphere. The food was actually quite good. We... More

We just dropped in for a drink in the afternoon and were pleasantly surprised with the pub. We didn't try the food but the beer selection was extensive with lots of great choices on tap. We found a nice table in a quiet corner and the service was fast and attentive. Nice spot.

Went here for food and drinks, we were a group of 10. The atmosphere was great with live music, service was just ok BUT the attitude of the waitress serving was appalling!! we ended up ordering of other staff as she was ignoring our table and only then came over to bluntly inform that we were only to order of... Dinner on a Thursday night no wait at the door but busy, felt like we were getting one of the last tables! Quick service lots of wait staff on. 2 pce halibut & chips, corned beef sandwich w/ salad & mac 'n cheese ordered along w/ a calamari appy that got forgotten about initially.
