Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity...
Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

Admittedly I have a weakness for Irish pubs. While not really traditional it is a nice bar and pub. Burgers and fries are above average and the beer and drink selection good. Our waitress Destiny knew her beer and Scotch! Seafood chowder was fantastic! Live music was a nice touch!

We had lunch at the Irish Times. It is right on the main street in Victoria. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the people go by. We were seated right away. My daughter order Poutine, my husband ordered the Irish Stew, and I ordered the Brie Bacon burger. All of the dishes were ok, but nothing special. Our server was... More

We ordered fish and chips and our server suggested upgrading to the halibut and she was correct! It was fantastic. The weather was wonderful so we enjoyed sitting outside and watching people while we ate.

Service and food were good, a good selection of northy american quisine and inevitably a range of beers. Not too sure whether they wanted us to pay before we left but we eventually found a witress!

One of the coolest places on one of the busiest routes in Victoria holds up its end of the bargain. The service is sharp, food decent, and the street side tables offer some of the best views and people watching in town. Sure the vibe comes across as a little Tilted-Kilt-ish, but the recycled Bank of Montreal building is very... More

After a wonderful family meal in Camille's (see review😉) we wandered up the street to the Irish Times Pub/Bar- my wife, son(28) and his girlfriend(22+). We were met at the door by a nice young man in a green skirt. He proceeded to ask my son for ID. As we come from a country where we are not obliged to... More

Hello Brian, I am so sorry that you didn't receive proper treatment when you arrived at the Irish Times on Friday evening. It is our policy and the government's as well to ID anyone under 30. All patrons must carry ID, it was our mistake for not checking the previous evening. I apologize sincerely, I hope your night ended enjoyably.... More

Large party of 9 quickly accommodated (15 minutes wait on a Friday night)! The manager (possibly owner) was excellent, he followed up with us several times during our time there. Our waitress was very helpful as well. The only complaint was that we had a very heavy backpack resting on a chair and another waitress came up and just told... More

We've always loved going to Irish Times for their live Irish music, but this time it just seemed to be more of an overpriced tourist spot on the main drag. Friendly, good atmosphere inside, for the most part (we had one extremely snobby waitress, but the bar staff are always reliably good-natured). It's a fine place to go out for... More

The place Is very attractive and has a nice outside patio on a touristy street. There was a board outside which said 'one for one fish and chips and live music after 9 pm.' We enquiried from the waitress who said she didn't know. Seems they have a rapid turnover of waitstaff. We asked for reservations and came back at... More
