Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

My wife and I had dinner here last month during our stay in Victoria. The location of the Irish Times Pubis very convenient and is on one end of Bastion Square. We stayed at the Grand Pacific Hotel and was able to walk to the pub. We arrived around 5:30 pm on a Monday afternoon. We did not know it... More

Nice building, great atmosphere, great band on Saturday night. Lively and noisy and busy. So busy that after 25 minutes we still hadn't seen a server in the vicinity of our table. Unfortunately we came in too hungry to wait, but we were happy to find another place to eat right across the street. Wish we could have stayed. Looked... More

We've been coming to the Irish Times Pub for years. This is the first time they've allowed children in the restaurant since we started coming here and we were pleased to see that. We usually come here with my sister and her four kids. Two of them are under 19 and we could never come in here with them. Now... More

It look's like an Irish pub, the food is like an Irish pub, the music is like an Irish pub but it isn't an Irish pub. When I worked in an Irish pub in Switzerland, my Irish boss said that it's impossible to make reservations, guests are free to take any table they want, otherwise you can't call yourself an... More

We stopped in for a pint and shared an excellent Shepherd's pie. The bar taps were very colorful and added to the authentic pub feel. Nice place to stop and take a break.

The food is amazing as is the service. A local referred us to this pub and boy are we glad we tried it. For all the times we had just walked by, I could kick myself. Great food and nice cold beers to choose from. Don't miss it.

We were looking for a restaurant with gluten free options for me and found this pub. Great Irish bacon and Brie burger on gluten free bun, and they didn't even charge us extra for the bun. Salad was fresh and good fries. Perfect atmosphere in the pub, not too loud, we were even seated in a cozy little nook looking... More

This is an excellent spot to have a meal, a quick snack or just have a pint with friends. They have 32 different craft beer on tap so there is something for every taste. The kitchen does a great job too. I had the seafood chowder twice and it was excellent both times. My wife ordered the Mac and Cheese... More

We lucked out having a lovely day in October. Who would of thought that outdoor dining would be possible?.We ordered fish and chips and were not disappointed. They were delicious paired with a tasty coleslaw and tartar sauce.
