Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity...
Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

good pub food, good service

We had lunch at the pub. There were five of us. Everyone commented on how tasty the food was. The beer, of course, was excellent. The service was good. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

We wanted pub food and came across this place. We were greeted by a hostess who took up upstairs to a table. The hostesses skirt was so short we had a bird's eye view up her skirt as we went up the steep stairs. We were seated and in a few minutes the waitress came and asked us what we... More

Probably the best place in town to attend for St. Paddy Day! Absolutely stunning and phenomenal room that comes off as authentic in every way. Recently rated one of the best Irish Pubs in the world outside of Ireland. Place was packed and atmosphere fantastic! Great Irish band too. Service was excellent. Very fast and friendly even though the place... More

I had a bacon and brie burger that was tasty. I had a gluten free bun that fell apart. I would have been better to just asked for it on a bed of lettuce.

Hi Kevin, Thank you for your feedback on the gluten free bun. I have spoken to the chef and we are sourcing a new GF bun. We try to accommodate our customers with gluten allergies so they can enjoy our burgers as well. I am sorry your burger was not up to the usual standards and I hope you can... More

In a lovely stone building with lots of wood inside, the looks of this pub outrank the food. My husband was happy with his "special of the day" discounted pint of Guiness and his very ordinary mac 'n cheese. I had the soup special, which was so rich I couldn't finish it. That was my fault not the chef's. I... More

Four years ago we enjoyed this pub so much we went back numerous times. Now...the ambiance is still great...the staff are still great...the beer is still great...but the food is POOR! The chicken burger was awful!! ( They took it off our bill) Everything else we ordered was average to poor at best. Very disappointed. We would return as long... More

Loved the food and energy here....great selection of drinks as well. In the summer, it gets packed and there is a wait line to get a seat even at 10pm. The outdoor seating is wonderful and a great place to people watch while enjoying the tasty food and awesome drinks.

Amazing Pub with history galore. First the building Is over 100 years old, but in good shape. Lots of character in the decor from wood staircase, Victorian design and posters, pictures that tell of old distilleries such as whiskey in the 1700's and the same architecture that designed the Victoria Paliament building and the Empress hotel. The Irish times pub... More

I went there with a couple of friends who live in Victoria. Nice local hang out, very good beer selection (try the Blue Buck Ale, it's a local must). The food was just average (i had a burger, which as ok but not great). The ambiance is just great, with good live music. Good place to hang out with friends.
