Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

Nice clean place, great atmosphere. Very tidy for an inner city pub. Good service. Patio for nice outdoor people watching!

We kept seeing Poutine advertised so we tried it, it was pretty good; french fries covered in beef gravy and a tasty cheese, I liked it. The mac n cheese is not your run of the mill variety, this had extra ingredients that worked so well for the good old comfort food of youth.

We stopped in here after a morning of travelling from the mainland and an afternoon wondering around town. The choice was good service friendly and the food freshly cooked. Nice place to relax and enjoy great food

My wife and I stopped in for a quick fish n chips lunch as well as a beer and Irish coffee. The staff was pleasant, and service and food were good. All in all a very nice pub that we'd recommend to friends.

We stopped in at the Irish Times for dinner after afternoon of wondering around Victoria. We were greeted by a smiling face then seated. We waited nearly 20 minutes before a server came to take our drink order. We placed our meal order at the same time as we'd had plenty of time to decide. Our appetizer arrived a few... More

We stopped here for an appetizer and ended up also ordering a dessert to share! We enjoyed a shrimp appetizer and it was very good...a bit spicy for me but perfect for my husband who loves spicier foods. If you love dark, rich, delicious chocolate brownies....order the one from here! 10000 calories a bite but worth every one!

My wife and I try to make yearly pilgrimages to Victoria, and this time around we stopped in at the Irish times pub. Yet another great restaurant in that great city. I had the corned beef and stuffed cabbage, and while pricey, is definitely worth it. It's a loud (in a good way), busy, vibrant place with great atmosphere. They... More
