Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity...
Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

Taste of Ireland

Located on busy Government Street, enjoy Great Irish beer along with a selection of pub favorites . Portions are generous. We tried the Fish and Chips, and Corn Beef sandwich, and found both very tasty. Indoor dining, or outside tables with big red umbrellas outside (perfect on a Sunny Summer Day.

Visited on Canada day and staff were friendly and welcoming. The wait at the bar was relatively short and the beer selection was great. Then the food arrived. We both got burgers and they were dry and overcooked. The salad had nice fresh greens but the dressing tasted like water. The fries were also just okay. We would go back... More

We didn't have dinner just dropped in for dessert and a couple drinks. The guinness chocolate brownie was awesome, totally hit the spot! Saw some great looking dishes go by so we will be back for a full meal the next time we are in town.

Took the ferry over here from Port Angeles for a few hours and happened on this pub right at lunchtime. Nice atmosphere and very good food at a reasonable price. Only feedback is that service was a little slow but not a big deal.

House band is fanominal. The menu has lots of Choices. The oysters are very fresh. The shepherds pie is good, though it is a mix of lamb and beef. The salads are fresh, though the vinaigrette dressing is a tad bland.

Relaxing place to stop for lunch after a busy morning of shopping at the markets on the weekend. We ate a salad with grilled chicken. Lovely to eat outside and people watch, listen to street music and enjoy a pot of tea as we did on a second visit. Service was spot on!

We joke around that we come to Victoria just for this pub. It's partially true, we make sure to pay a visit each time we're in town. The poutine is good, the yam fries are delicious, the clam chowder is yummy, the beer flights, cider flights and whiskey flights too. Live music is always a pleasant surprise, and the staff... More
