Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

After walking the area doing a little shopping, we stopped in to have a cold drink. Great atmosphere and selection. Snacks were good, beer was very cold, with a good selection of both. Not a "stuffy" place, a fun pub. Staff was good, prices were reasonable, for Canada anyway. City is awesome place, planning on going back for a longer... More

We stopped in to have dinner and a few drinks here. The food was good and reasonably priced. The staff was nice. We got the pleasure of watching a local group entertain. It was a fun night! We would go here again.

Food was ok, but service was very slow. We tried to give the waitress some comments about the food. POur daughter had left most of her pizza so you could see she was not happy with it. Waitress was not the least bit interested, and was very dismissive of our comments.

Good atmosphere, service can be slow when busy and this place gets that full, that you struggle to move your chair without hitting somebody else. Food average but good selection of beers, probably recommend just for drinks with friends.

Busy and noisy, but the food is quite good and the service was friendly. Very close in to the tourist area of Victoria.

Sorry folks but your fish and chips were very average. I will go back to Barb's at the Fisherman's Wharf down the street next time. Overcooked and boring. Our server snubbed us because we didn't order the second we sat down so she avoided us for a long stretch of time. It is a lovely building inside and out but... More

One of our stops on our self-initiated pub crawl around Victoria. This was in our top two favorites and we visited it twice in the days we visited. Great cider selection and lots of good beer to choose from. One visit we ordered nachos and it was over twenty dollars for them. They were good but I wouldn't say they... More

I ate here with my two children. Although it's a pub, they will seat families with children away from the bar area and they have a nice children's menu including traditional Irish fare like a mini Shepard's pie or more traditional entrees like cheese pizza (my 11 y.o. is a pizza expert and he said it was one of the... This place must have the best food for a pub. I had the mushroom pizza twice in 3 days. Thin crust so you won't be full and can keep drinking the multitude of beers on tap. My group had a varied selection of food and everyone raved about it. Servers were working hard as the place was hopping. Have never... More

Visited while on a mini pub crawl while on an Alaskan cruise. Sitting outside was perfect. The live music was excellent, while not too loud because of our seat location. The staff was friendly and no issues with service. The inside had great atmosphere and an "old" feel. Would absolutely suggest going here.
