This is an unassuming sort of hole-in-the-wall restaurant. It's not downtown with all the touristy spots, so not packed or overpriced. Our waiter was very friendly. My husband had the meatloaf, which he said was pretty good. I had the tomato angolotti (sp?) filled with smoked mozarella -- very tasty and filling. Our son had the chicken fingers. He said... More

Went for breakfast. Waited 45 min for table for 3. So many were seated ahead of us. My omelette was delicious, hot, and full of mushrooms but my friends meal was cold. As a result it was deducted but disappointing after the long wait. I guess it was fun to go once but next time, I would pick a different... More

Popular spot just outside of downtown that serves 3 meals to customers willing to wait for tables. Our wait was brief, and well worth it. 10 different types of eggs benedict with a sauce that was smooth, delicious, and without any of that common pastiness. And the benedicts all come as full or half orders. Waffles are supposed to be... More

Great atmosphere & food. Love their Eggs Benny selection! Line-ups might be long but worth waiting to get in.

When I'm on the island I always make it a point to visit John's Place. They have a huge breakfast-only menu on the weekends. When I first visited this restaurant I had pancakes with their cream cheese icing and it sticks out to my taste bud memories. This weekend I had their egg and waffle breakfast. I was happy to... I can cook it better. Overrated! Staff were nice but food was disappointing. Definitely diner food I was hoping for more.

It is not good. Now if you go the eggs, you got it made. Great atmosphere. Servers were nice, gave you the back story too.

The concierge at our hotel recommended John's Place for breakfast. Just a block up from our hotel it was convenient. You can feel the energy of this very busy place as soon as you walk in the door. The walls are plastered with photos and posters so there is lots to look at as you wait for your meals. The... More

This restaurant is a must for anyone and everyone. The food is amazing, portions are outrageous and people extremely friendly. Chris had French toast erotica, two toast with Nutella and bananas inside served with a cream cheese drizzle/spread. I had traditional eggs Benedict. Farm fresh eggs cooked to perfection, yolks so vibrant and gooey! We shared our meals and still... More
