What a meal! The food here tickles all of your senses. I had the Salmon Mignon. . . great taste and beautiful presentation. Husband had the Sri Lankan Traditional Dinner. . . incredible flavors. With 3 desserts offered, we wished there were more choices, but decided to try the Koulfi. (Indian pistachio ice cream.) It was delicious, but warning: hard... More

My husband and I went for lunch on a recent weekend. We both had fabulous lunches. He had the special of the day which involved rice and a chicken curry and I had one of the vegetarian specials - I think it was coconut dal. Both were served hot. Portions were just right and the staff was always there to... More

My husband and I spent our 45th wedding anniversary in Victoria. We chose to eat at the Cafe Ceylon based on prior excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. Looking for something more adventurous than usual, we have to say that the fusion of flavors at this Sri Lankan/Pan-Asian restaurant was superb. Having eaten all over the world, this was by far,... This was a decent walk from our hotel but well worth it. Food was great and flavours amazing. Service was super friendly albeit it was a quiet Wednesday night. Food a mixture of Sri Lankan and fusion Asian. A limited menu and modest wine list but did not detract from the evening.

I work in the Cook Street Professional Building, where Cafe Ceylon is located, so I am able to enjoy lunch here fairly often. The Ayurvedic cuisine is incredible. Particular favorites include the house special (I ask for extra yogurt sauce on the side with Medium spice, mmmm). The seafood hotpot for two is also incredible, the Vattapalam on the dessert... It's no surprise that Cafe Ceylon is ranked #1 in Victoria. I've been eating at Cafe Ceylon regularly for the past couple years, and I know about how much care and quality work is put into every dish. Finding a real Ayurvedic Chef like Tamara, especially one who is born and raised in the culture, is exceedingly rare, and is... More

My husband and I have been enjoying the food, and people of Cafe Ceylon for years and it never disappoints. We have even brought our children to the restaurant and they have been welcomed by the amazing owners/manager and chef! It is such personable service that Tamara came out to greet our children and offer extra treats much to our... More

Cafe Ceylon is second to none for food, flavor and service in Victoria. I have tried all but one entree option and have never been dissatisfied. I would highly recommend the "seafood hot pot" at lunch. My only wish is that they served the "hot pot" at dinner. Very personal host, wait staff and chef. Tamara will come out to... More

We just to Café Ceylon for the first time and really enjoyed our lunch. Great atmosphere and service in this uniquely decorated place on Cook Street. The dishes were great and amazingly spiced. We're looking forward to coming back and trying their dinner menu.
