A charming little restaurant in a nondescript neighborhood shopping area (but close to some very fancy shops). Enjoyed their Big Muckle assortment for lunch. It was more than enough for the two of us: savories and sweets, and choice of tea (we chose Mad Hatter, which was delicious). Friendly wait staff as well. Thoroughly enjoyable.

To say that I'm a tea room fanatic would be a bit of an understatement, so I've been to loads of places, but this had to have been one of the best tea experiences I've ever had. I ordered "The Not So Wee Tea" and it was just delicious...and filling! My mom ordered the Gluten Free Tea and we were... More

High tea is wonderful. Such an awesome selection of both savoury and sweet treats. Service is warm and friendly. A must do when visiting Victoria. Call ahead for reservations.

Prior to our trip, I searched here on Trip Advisor for where to go for tea and found this place with multiple enthusiastic reviews ... spot on, this was excellent! Do make reservations. We were able to get a 1:15 pm seating a few days ahead of our arrival. Be aware they are located OUTSIDE the downtown area, so if... More

My girlfriends and I have been coming the White Heather for an annual summer tea, for over a decade. Most of us usually order the "Not so Wee Tea", which comes in a lovely three-tiered tray - and includes scones with clotted cream and jam, a selection of savory sandwiches, and baked goodies. All delicious. Their selection of teas is... More

On our recent trip to Victoria we decided "Tea" was a must. After some research and comparison we opted for The White Heather Tea Room. It was everything the reviews said! We all tried different teas, we ordered a "Big Muckel", a "Not So Wee Tea" and a "Wee Tea". Very nicely presented. There was something to appeal to everyone... More

In Victoria, everyone needs to experience High Tea. After researching our options, White Heather Tea Room was the best choice. (It is better than the Fairmont Empress.) You will need reservations. First visit we had the Big Muckle which was a little of everything. Second visit, we had lunch and just ordered our favorite sandwich, soup and scone. We loved... More

High tea is a must when in Victoria, and we decided to try this local favorite instead of The Empress. It took 10mins and $15 or so to get out there by cab from the Inner Harbour (you could also walk or take a bus), but it was certainly worth it. The place is very cozy with lots of natural... More

The big muckle for 2 was a great way to try a lot of great tasty treats. The cheese biscuits with lox were awesome. Scones were moist. Split with my mom. Highly recommend.

I have had the "Big Muckle" Tea on four different occasions. The presentation is beautiful and the food is delicious. We always have to take some back to our hotel because the generous assortment is too much for one sitting. I am very experienced in serving fancy teas and have experienced afternoon tea at a variety of locations from humble... More
