The White Heather Tea Room is a great little place for lunch with friends. Be sure to reserve - it is a busy place at that time and not noisy. The staff is mature, friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere, the lunch meal and tea were as good as you would expect from Victoria. A return visit is a certainty next... More

A friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at this lovely small restaurant. We went for the Big Muckle Tea for Two and had some lovely Mad Hatter tea to accompany our choice. (We skipped lunch on the day we went because we knew there would be lots of goodies to sample.) Everything was fresh, beautifully presented and the service... More

I'd really been looking forward to afternoon tea at the White Heather Tea Room, having heard that it was the #1 spot for tea in Victoria (even over the famous Emperess). We raced down from above Nanaimo to get there - their website said they closed at 5 - and arrived at 20 minutes before 5. We saw one other... More

We had tea at the Fairmont the day before coming here. We were not sure if our schedule was going to allow us to go here for tea, but fate said it was so because we lucked out in getting a reservation first thing that AM. We took a taxi over from town and then back to the Fairmont, where... More

Forgetting that Valentine's Day was close, we were lucky to get a seat as a special valentine's tea was being offered for a few days. Graciously, they seated us without a reservation (we'll know better next time). The crepe of the day (chicken, mushroom & spinach) was large, hot and rich with melted cheese. Delicious - accompanied with a wonderful... More

White Heather will not disappoint, but it is very popular! This was our second visit to the White Heather Tea Room and it was just as fabulous as we remembered from the first visit. We did not make reservations either time and this time they were booked for a special event that we were unaware of. We opted to explore... More

I've been to tea at The Empress and The White Heather Tea room far exceeded them in freshness, service and was more inexpensive as well. Tea here was such a nice experience and the food was so fresh and delicious. We got the tea for two and there was more than enough for the both of us with us taking... More

While vacationing in Victoria we decided to do two different afternoon teas. Our first tea was at Butchart Gardens and the second tea was at White Heather. Based on the great reviews in guide books, recommendation from hotel staff and the great reviews here, it seemed that this was the best place to experience another afternoon tea. I will start... We absolutely loved our tea at White Heather Tea Room! My husband and I try to have tea whenever we're traveling together and this was one of the best we've had! The quaint tea room, excellent quality food, and we were served by someone who clearly loves what they're doing - it not just a job for them! We don't... More

With all the raves about this place, I admit I was a little disappointed. The decor was reminiscent of the late eighties. Scones were being reheated via microwave behind the cash counter. The Wee Tea sandwiches were definitely fresh and homemade, as was all that we ate, however, there was no ambiance to go with the tasty food. With all... More
