The atmosphere is oldtime and fun and the food is good. This is a short walk from the Inn we stayed in. The weather was good and the walking easy.

We were staying a block away at the very nice Inn at Laurel Point, but read that a glass of orange juice was $9.50 (75 cents american). Santiagos is the closest restaurant and a lovely bright and cheery locale it is. The breakfast menu has all the dishes at $10. and excellent coffee. The Eggs Bennie were decadent with a... More

The black bean and tortilla soup was just the ticket for a cold night and the ceviche is a generous portion with lots of fresh seafood - perhaps a bit too much lime - but still tasty. Service is friendly and efficient. Price is very reasonable.

If you are having mussels, go anywhere but Santiago's. We went to Monday muscle Madness (read $2 off the price) and it was disappointing. It was our 4th time to have mussels in Victoria in recent weeks, and this was very sub-standard.

I've been to Santiago's a few times over the years while working in Victoria. I've always been happy with it. It's small and cozy and has a casual, warm feel. The decor is an eclectic mix of South American stuff. The menu is also eclectic, ranging from some more traditional Mexican and South American offerings to Asian. I had the... More

I quite liked this place, the menu having a Mexican slant did have some surprising diverse options to choose from. Food was excellent and the service very good.

This restaurant was near our hotel (Harbour Towers) and whenever we walked by it, the place dining room was full. We had our last dinner in Victoria at Santiago's. The crowd was fun mix of locals and tourists of all ages. We all enjoyed our meals. The staff was attentive without being intrusive.

We were here for an afternoon late lunch/snack and 4 of us were able to share a single plate of wonderful nachos--perhaps the best we have ever had. Fresh tomatoes, great guacamole and tasty cheese. Nice coffee and tea service. We would love to come back for a dinner sometime, Nicely located restaurant in a pleasant neighborhood.

We were less than impressed by the flavors and the portion sizes. Potent drinks and convivial atmosphere though.

Great service, reasonable price, awesome food. Right next to ferry terminal and close to our hotel. Next time we'll allow more time so we can enjoy dessert too.
