Trip advisor doesn't always get it right for restaurant reviews, but this time it does. We were visiting Victoria on a Saturday night and got to the restaurant about 6pm. Was told that there was an hour and 20 mins wait for a table. Came back at 7.10pm and were seated after 5 mins. Atmosphere was casual and friendly, just... More

This is a very small eating place that should not be missed while in Victoria. They do not take reservations and as this place is very popular, we had a one hour wait. But the wait was very much worth it! We were able to walk around little shops close to the restaurant while waiting. The food was absolutely scrumptious!... More

This is one of my usual haunts when visiting Victoria - not only is the food remarkable, but the wines are great and the service spectacular. Unless you arrive early, expect a line... but it's worth it.

From the food to the service - everything about our visit made it an exquisite dinning experience. Arrive early, they are small and do not accept reservations.

I have been here a number of times. It is always excellent. The service is superb, the food is outstanding, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Some people complain about there not being reservations, but if you want fast food.... go to McDonalds. Waiting a bit depends on when you go the front of house are very helpful with how long... More

We read the reviews and figured a restaurant without reservations would be hard to snag on a Saturday night. We also thought if we went at the end of the night we could grab a table and we were right! I'd recommend going after 9 pm. It was enjoyable, less hectic and had a great ambiance. Excellent service, delicious and... More

No bookings at this restaurant but on our second try, we got seats at the bar and ate excellent oysters and sirloin steaks, with very reasonably priced 2009 Bordeaux. Friendly service and good chat from the server behind the bar and a good atmosphere in the room.

My favorite restaurant in all Victoria -and yet I can't reserve a table on the day I'm visiting the town. I do get it , a restaurant that puts this emphasis on the food probably wouldn't be in buisness for this long if they didn't run a first come first served system -but I often wish I could reserve and... Great traditional french food. Wonderful service and nice wine selection. Good value for the money. Definitely worth your time and the short walk from downtown

Great food but the fact they do not accept reservations means we will never go back as the line ups were ridiculous.
