We arrived at 5.15 pm, as we were warned to do, and were shown to our table at 5.30 precisely. My wife and I each had the escargot fritters and a small steak. Food, service and ambiance all excellent. Extensive wine list and I was sorry I was driving. The only black mark is for the absence of table reservations.... More

Brasserie is worth the wait! This place takes no reservations, you simply need to show up before 530pm for the first sitting, or place your name on the wait list for the second seating (and have a drink elsewhere). The service was great! Our server was very friendly, attentive and funny. Brasserie is a French bistro that is reasonably priced... More

We were led to this restaurant on our last trip by a local and loved it. For 2 yrs. we have thought and talked about it, it's that good. So, our first night back in Victoria we had to go. It was a long wait, as usual, but they take your phone # and call you so you can leave,... More

We felt fortunate to get in - we were the last couple to get a table once the doors opened. The food was very good...but not-over-the-top fantastic. Possibly the best French food in Victoria, but I am not sure. I lived in Europe for many years, five of them in France, and I know how good it can be :)... More

I wasn't going to do this, but 1) I gave them the opportunity to fix; and 2) After having slept on it, I'm still miffed. I'd been looking forward to going to Brasserie since March, when my birthday plans got railroaded. Next special occasion: wedding anniversary. Knowing of their irksome no reservations policy, we arrived at 5:15PM. We got a... More

This restaurant is one of the best restaurants i have been to in Victoria. I went there with my boyfriend who had steak that he loved and i had the brasserie burger. The burger comes with bacon and i am not a huge fan of bacon so i asked the server to make the burger without the bacon. My burger... More

Two colleagues and I spent 4 days in Victoria on business. We sampled several restaurants in the downtown area. This one is by far the best. I am always leery of French restaurants outside of France. Too pretentious, too expensive, and often not very authentic. This one did not suffer from any of these afflictions. The place is small but... More

Following TA reviews and talking with diners waiting in line, we decide to put our name down and come back in 90 minutes. We left our cell number and were called in about 40 minutes when someone canceled. We were immediately seated. Usually restaurants like this are exceptionally noisy, but this was relatively quiet due to a very high ceiling.... More

Close your eyes and you are in a Paris bistro. It fills up fast so get there early and wait in line to be sure of a table. The room is noisy and crowded but it's truly one of the finest meals I've had in years! The wine was fabulous as well.

Food was very good. Excellent service. Great selection of beers. A little pricey but well worth it. Also, no phone reservation and lineup to get in, but can go and add your name to the next seating time.
