Very impressed by this very-French restaurant. We were very warmly welcomed, seated quickly and our charming, very knowledgeable server made excellent suggestions and took the time to chat with us briefly. The food was beautifully presented, cooked exactly as described/requested and the trout and sole were both very fresh, with perfect accompanying sauces. We wish we lived on the Island... More

If I was asked me what my last meal might be, a meal from Brasserie L'ecole is a leading option. This is the second time I have visited L'ecole and the quality of service and food did not change the slightest Get there early! If you're not one of the first groups there, they are very accommodating and will call... More

This restaurant doesn't accept reservations, so you have to go early or after the initial dinner rush. It's worth the wait! The food and service are great. We had the salmon, sausage and creme brûlée which were all delicious!

lined up to get inside. Great food, great service. Best trout I've ever had, and the mussels were well done. I would go back next time I'm in Victoria.

No reservations are permitted so people line up at 5:30 when they open to either get a table or book a later time that evening. Not that many tables available so you should arrive around 5:00 or 5:10 to get a table. However the food is just average in my opinion. I had the 16 ox rib-eye and fries, a... More

It has been many, many years since we have given anything an 11 out of 10 but this restaurant deserves it. Fabulous food, fantastic service and a great wine list. And so intimate too - tables are well separated so there is not a stranger sitting in your lap!! We have heard of this place for many years but, alas,... More

If you're visiting the city, you have to check this place out! It's a nice cozy Cafe / bar with a friendly atmosphere and very friendly staff. When I first checked it out, I was there on my own for business and they made me feel right at home. The next time I came by was with a date and... More

It is lovely, and worth the wait. If you do have a bit of a wait, put your name down and head around the corner to Veneto for a cocktail... It is consistently good, with specials that change with the season. But the steak with bleu cheese and the frites with truffle oil/garlic and parmesan are my favourite meal in... More

I am always a little intrigued by restaurants that don't take reservations.. like they are trying to build cache and yet some just don't live up to the hype. Brasserie does! The restaurant is very charming and authentic and could be dropped into any arrondissement in Paris and fit right in. The food is delicious and often local..prepared with care.... More
