We walked in for breakfast without a reservation as a party of 6. I do not recommend this!!! They were unable to seat us together, and they acted like they were slammed, (even though they only had 1 table in use). The hostess actually said she needed to check with someone to see if we could be seated. She then... More

When planning our girl’s weekend in Victoria, afternoon tea was at the top of our list. We were staying at the Coast Victoria Harbourside Hotel and the Gatsby Mansion is just a short walk away, so we arrived a bit early. After chatting with one of the staff, we took a short walk around the grounds, which are beautifully done.... More

Spotted this restaurant in the harbor when we arrived on the clipper ship from Seattle. The architecture is quintessential charming Victoriana. We made reservations with the intention of having dinner before heading back to Seattle later that day. We ended up being late for our reservation but the staff graciously and quickly served us an excellent meal and we were... More

Lovely location: worth a look around the garden. We were late for lunch hour but were still very nicely served. Tasty soups

The older style homes and Inns are very enjoyable to sit and and partake of their food and drink and take in the surrounding fashions of the room itself. It was a joy to have tea there

We only went into the restaurant for breakfast. I found the hotel itself very interesting. The food was excellent, but the waiting was too long.

If you are expecting the chain experience walk on past the Gatsby Mansion. If you want a quaint experience in a revitalized older home stay at the Gatsby. Clean, spacious rooms; beautiful dining room open for meals and convenient to the ferry.

The exterior and ambiance is very misleading! We had breakfast before boarding the Victoria clipper Ferry across the street. It was probably the worst egg, sausage and potatoes combination we've had anywhere. They charged $13 for three undercooked "BananaRum Pancakes" ! I wouldn't pay $3 for it!

I stumbled across this lovely old mansion which is now a restaurant. It is part of a complex which includes a hotel as well. Afternoon tea was affordable and delightful!

The restaurant at the Gatsby was way overpriced, however Artisans Lane was great, local artists have little shops all along the back of the mansion. The best part was meeting Mary who was featured on Dragons Den with her lovebird Luigi who tears pieces of coloured paper and then Mary makes them into intricate works of art as cards. She... More
