This coffee shop began back in the 1950's with the same family and ancestors continuing to bake these delectable desserts, their famous homemade lemon pie. Their meatball soup is to die for along with the beautiful salads. This is one bakery and coffee shop that should be a must to see when you arrive in Victoria.

The look and atmosphere are so old school cool that we ended up being pretty disappointed that the pastry was fairly average in flavor. But we were there midday. Maybe better in the morning????

I usually come here a couple of times a week either for breakfast, lunch or tea and a Danish. The service is good, the food is simple, comfort food and is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is cozy. It's a place where you can come with friends or somewhere where you feel comfortable having a meal by yourself.

My wife and I had the weekday breakfast special $6.00 plus each - two eggs - potatoes, bacon and toast. The food was really good - especially the bacon and the rye bread (not on the menu but the nice gal made it happen). The menu says only two strips of bacon but we each got three - nice. The... More

We wanted to reacquaint with a friend my husband worked with in London 50 years ago and chose the Dutch Bakery for brunch. We ended up sitting and talking for over two hours and the wait staff were very generous and professional in not hurrying us on. I can vouch for the chicken burger and my husband had the reuben,... We've been coming to Victoria for 35 years and it's a tradition for us to come here. The place looks like a 1950s diner, but that's an attraction for me. I wouldn't change the decor for anything. They used to have signs on their tables that if you're only one or two at a table and things get busy, please... More

What a treat and special experience! From the moment you step into the Dutch Bakery, you're captivated by the sights and smells. The counter is the perfect place for a meal or snack with a family-run old school vibe that there aren't enough of these days. From the bakery displays to the history, a true special visual and culinary experience!

My wife had a pastry with a cup of cappuccino and I had a waffle. Both dishes were good and service also on par. This appears to be a local hangout.

Delicious bakery in the front, coffee shop at the back. Ate breakfast here twice, excellent basic eggs, bacon, hashbrowns & toast. Chocolate milk was made with syrup though.

Came here in the morning the day that we were returning to Seattle on the Clipper. Wanted something to eat on the voyage. Bought three pastries - mostly with marzipan and almonds. One was cake based another puff pastry and the third was sort of like a Napoleon. Boy, they were the best pastries we've had in a really long... More
