Dutch Delights

Went in here three times on the last day of our holiday. That might sound ridiculous but not when you've tried the raisin toast at breakfast (visit 1), bought sandwiches for later in the day whilst being tempted into buying more cakes than you really need but couldn't resist (visit 2), then gone... read more

We stopped in quite by chance and were pleasantly surprised on the selection and quality of food. It is so nice to have a non greasy lunch when you are on the move. The salad was wonderful that came with our meat pies and the variety of delicious baking made our choices difficult. We will search you out again when... More

We love Victoria and had to stop in to this bakery. Being od Dutch descent this was a treat to have some dutch pastries. Had the Mocha Slice and tried my wife's vanilla slice. Both delicious. The coffee was great too. All just simple but great!

For breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee break. Food is delish, service friendly and the authentic original diner atmosphere has such a cosy vibe to it! Highly recommend!

My mom started taking me to the Dutch Bakery as a tiny girl. We'd wait with our paper number ticket for a vinyl booth and stare at all the traditional Dutch decorations while we'd ponder which favourite delicately iced pastry to order. Lunches are good but don't leave without a dessert as this is the Dutch Bakery's specialty--and all made... More

Popular with locals and visitors, you will find a great selection of breakfast and lunch in a retro coffee shop diner. Seating at Booths, Tables, or an old fashion Lunch counter. Great food at very reasonable prices. Daily specials too. Very family friendly. I like the beef croquets, come with a your choice of side order, and toast. Lots of... More

We were looking for a bakery for breakfast and fell upon this lovely place on Fort Street, just off Government. We were surprised to find a full restaurant in the bakery and had the most amazing breakfast. I had the 'Uitsmyter', which is an open faced dutch ham and egg sandwich. I have never had ham so good in my... More

Read about Dutch Bakery before travelling from England, glad I did my homework before coming. Lovely selection of cakes and sandwiches to takeaway, and some smashing, not so easy to takeaway. Try not to miss, central location.

I remember coming here as a child when I visited my relatives, and it hasn't changed much. Stopped by for the full breakfast (reduced price before 10 am), and of course came back for a pastry snack later in the day. Best sweet treats ever, and still so inexpensive! Mocha cake the way it should be done (with white cake,... More

We found this place on our second last day in Victoria and wished we discovered it sooner. All the desert items we tried were simply perfect. A MUST if in this beautiful city.
