We were taken to Aura Restaurant for lunch. The patio is delightful and has a lovely view of the Inner Harbour of Victoria. Our server Daniel was very pleasant, attentive and explained very well what we were having, but when it was served not when ordered. Two of us ordered fish and chips which were quite nicely cooked, though the... More

The chef here specializes in the locally produced vegetables and seafood from the area. All are brought together in fresh innovative ways! This is fusion without confusion! Nicely done!

Stayed for three nights and had a very enjoyable time. Room was spacious and clean with superb views over the harbour with a good bathroom. Bed was super comfy. Friendly barman called Peter who was great to talk to. Only used Aura once for breakfast and can highly recommend it. If not staying at the Empress, this has to be... More

We have dined as part of a business meeting. In our table, I was with 4 other mediteranian people and none has appreciated the quality of dishes. No taste, small portions, basic salad only tomatos! The location is breathtaking on the harbour with well decorated garden. The view is extremely beautiful.

Great views, old, outdated, run-down rooms, poor air circulation, and lots of "additional charges" for things a 4.5 star hotel room would provide without extra charges!

The hotel rooms in the new section are wonderful. They are large, well-appointed, have good closet space and drawers; huge bathrooms, sofa, chair, plus desk and a deck with two lounge chairs and awesome views of the harbor. We have always had great service and a good room. Love the location and views.

Had a presentation and then dinner in the little room (about 8 people) off the main dining room with a pharmaceutical company . Ordered everything a la carte. Had Calamari appy which was a religious experience. The presentation was amazing... looked like pasta. The flavour exploded in your mouth. The main course was a chicken dish that was equally impressive.... More

We ate a brunch meal here with our group and it was extremely expensive. $4 for a cup of coffee! The service was excellent and the food I had was good, but for the price it wasn't worth it.

Why go on a cruise when you can sit on your deck and watch the world go by? I suggest you buy a bottle of BC wine, order room service and enjoy the inner harbour.
