One of the best fish wraps I've ever had!

I came her for my first time a couple years ago while I was exploring Fisherman's Wharf. In the past I would normally go to Barbs to grab fish and chips when I was down there but I decided to go to The Fish Store instead to try it out. I got the Albacore Tuna, Wasabi Aioli rice wrap which... read more

Always a treat to come here and enjoy the food because my partner is celiac so it's a rare treat that she can enjoy worry-free fish and chips, they have a separate deep-fryer for both the fish and chips to avoid cross contamination. I actually like the gluten-free batter better. Sadly no oysters this early in the season. Had them... More

Stopped here for lunch as we walked the warf, food was alright we tried the soup and some oysters little expensive. Neat little spot right by all the floating houses neat to see.. I don't really agree with feeding the seals as it kinda ruins them but the amount of fish this place sell for them is crazy.. But it... More

We purchased a whole salmon. They filet it, cut it as we wanted, and froz it in individual pieces. We were offered samples of the candied salmon and tuna what great service.

The 3 way salmon chowder was awesome and the fish tacos had fresh ingredients. It was a nice treat to grab dinner here and eat outside by the water (as opposed to the other touristy places downtown). The seafood is "ocean wise" too which means it's sustainably sourced. Good value for the money.

I would have given this quick serve restaurant (QSR meaning that you walk up to a counter to order and pick up your meal) a full excellent rating had they not charged me $1.50 for each little side of cocktail sauce. From an enormous variety of mollusks on display in the vitrine, I chose a dozen Zen Oysters from Fanny... More

Had arrived in Victoria later afternoon from Calgary (away from the ice and snow), so went out on a two hour walk around the harbour to breathe in the sea air. After a while my husband and I were feeling like a pick-me-up as we hadn't eaten for several hours and I remembered from several previous visits that Barb's was... More

Such an exciting place to be and eat at. Located in a floating hut on the water edge amongst many other eating establishments on the water. I enjoyed a tasty local fresh made Halbut mala soup. Large pieces of fish in a creamy curry broth served with a slice of focaccia bread toasted. $5.50 for medium size. Also have a... More

My last day in Victoria was a beauty day to walk along the wharf! The fish store was open and I had the Dungeness crab lunch, and while I was waiting I bought some fish to feed the seals. I could feed those seals all day long they are so flippin cute! The folks working in the store were very... More

Stopped by after a whale tour and ordered the salmon fish tacos. The fish was so moist and tasty and the salsa was smoky and spicy. This is a great spot (I even saw some seals while I was waiting for my food).
