James Bay on Menzies Street next to the Laundry Mat. Great little shop that plays old music from the 50's and 60's on actual records. Decor looks antique with wooden tables and cabinets. Coffee is tasteful along with fresh baking, I enjoyed a pumpkin muffin with my London Fog. Great service.

Small quiet cafe that has a following of loyal customers. Just wish they have better and fresher snacks to go with the excellent coffee.

We spent two days in Victoria for our anniversary. When I'm out of town I like to find a coffee shop locals hang out at. A receptionist at the Laurel Inn where we were staying recommended Discovery Coffee, a short walk from the hotel in a neighborhood. An awesome soy latte both mornings to start my day. My husband had... More

I found the coffee a bit bitter but it was fresh and hot, just not to my taste. I kind of find $3.75 a bit ridiculous especially when that is all they have to offer and this was Sunday at 2 pm so not even closing time. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. It is a good street view... More

I had their excellent Earl Grey doughnut and a latte. Very cool-looking place with somewhat of a hipster clientele and feel. But friendly-hip, not off-putting, snubby hip. Very beautiful and comfortable setting - even the bathroom seemed like a place I could hang out a while.

Cool little coffee shop a few blocks from the parliament building. They make an excellent Americano and have tasty bakery items that are so fresh that sometimes they are still warm. A vinyl record is always playing to add to the quaint atmosphere.

I was introduced to this hive of busy business people all holding small one-on-one meetings, by a client of mine. She told me it was a good place and she was not wrong. We sat at one of the quaint tables, repurposed from an old singer sewing machine table. The stream of clients kept coming and going and I had... More

Nice dark roasted espresso, fantastic foam on my cappuccino. The room is beautiful with a refreshingly classic look in a world of hipster clones.

Busy local cafe out of the tourist highway. Yummy berry scone, great vibe. Quieter leafy setting compared to the harbour

Looking for a coffee house early on a Saturday morning. Found this little place close to my hotel. The coffee was delicious and the staff were friendly and very helpful when I asked for recommendations on some various restaurants. They were playing some very nice music and the decor was warm and inviting. Just what a coffee house should look... More
