Well placed on the roadside in Wharf Street, with its outdoor tables close to all the action. Food is well priced and varied - mostly quick assembly food to accompany the large range of beers on offer. Good for lunch and early evening - and people watching. Service good and staff very helpful

My husband & I were out in Victoria visiting family and we ended up coming to your restaurant one night for supper! Was a little crazy...really busy and tons of people, so the service was expected to be a little crazy as well! It took awhile for everyone to get their food, but was definitely worth the wait! Food was... More

Tucked in right along the waterfront, the Local has a great outside deck, a good menu, and makes a great bloody mary. A perfect end to our Victoria stay.

We arrived on a cruise ship and since it was already dark when we arrived, we took a cab to the Empress Hotel to walk around the area to see the lights. As the evening progressed we decided to take a seat at The Local Kitchen to have an appetizer and a drink. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which came... More

We went to the local and I've never had a problem but this waitress WOW what an attitude. First we ask about if potatoe skins are gluten free (which they should be) she said; rudely, don't know and walks away. How about walk to the kitchen and ask ? Second night we went to the bar to sit after one... More

Since my first visit back in early July I've been here 3 more times. Yes, it's that good! Had the one piece Halibut and Chips. It was excellent and price not too bad at around $18. Blackened Halibut wrap also fantastic. Ditto the buffalo chicken wrap. The wraps are a little on the expensive side at $15 to $16 however.... More

The pub is very nice and clean. Small but good looking. I had the turkey club-like the fact that the sandwiches come with $2 soup cups.

Dropped by on a sunday night for a pizza. we decided to eat outside and even though there were only a few patrons we were seated in aisle 102 crammed into some greenery. We moved to a different table on our own, but I didn't understand their seating rationale given the time of night and empty restaurant. We ordered the... More

I attended this restaurant on a friday night late into the evening, We were celebrating a wonderful Naval graduation. It is designed for a younger, upbeat crowd at this time of the week. Food was good and typical pub food but i enjoyed all. Staff were just wonderful and did a great job. Don't go here at this time of... More

From our perspective, the Local Kitchen was a nice place to sit outside and watch people, while being crowded amongst other people watchers. The evening was pleasant, so the crowds were large with few, if any, empty tables. The food was mediocre, and a bit overpriced. The waitresses were attractive, which seemed to be a big drawing card for the... More
