Wonderful surprise

Had lunch here and the food was fantastic. We had the Thukpa and shrimp curry. The medium heat was barely tolerable for my friend so would recommend mild for most people. I had the curry with medium heat (I can tolerate lots of heat) and it was beautiful. The 'momos' were wonderful. The server... read more

The food was fabulous! Read about this restaurant online, it was on my 'must-do' list for our visit to Victoria. We stopped by for supper, the momos and beef shepta were delicious! Restaurant was extremely busy however the wait time was only 10 minutes and service was great. The staff were friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend this quaint restaurant!

Eat lunch here for the first time, and all the food was good. We had vegetable pakoras, shrimp curry, vegetarian curry, shrimp shepta, and beef shepta. The medium spiciness was quite hot, so we might order mild to medium next time. And we do plan to return! The Tibetan cuisine is similar to Indian food, with some Chinese influences.

We stopped in for lunch after visiting the bug zoo. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was very good.

Pretty excited to see a restaurant that serves momos! Almost like what we had in Nepal. They serve them fried, but I asked the waitstaff if they would serve them steamed (I prefer them this way). She said they will if it is quiet- they take longer. The food was delicious, and the local organic beer selection a great surprise.

Great little neighbourhood gem, glad we got there early as we got the last table at 545pm on a Wednesday. 2 chicken sheptas medium spice were ordered. Good flavours & lots of food but the spice was more towards hot spice than medium. Chicken curry was the other meal & it was perfect too! Pakoras were done as individual veggies... More

Hubby and I are big curry fans - Chinese, Thai, Indian...so we were excited to try Tibetan curry. We ordered the beef with red pepper and pork off their lunch menu. It was served with brown rice (very different), two fried bread "pillows" (good!) and a delicious lentil soup. We enjoyed the beef curry, but found the pork to be... More

First visit to the Tibetan Kitchen Café. Visited with two other couples. Two individuals had the vegetarian curry, two the lamb curry, one the beef curry and one the beef Shepta. The lamb curry was deemed tender but the consistent issue raised was that the spicing of the dishes did not meet what was asked for. A bit of the... More

The momos are great way to start your meal. You have a choice of pork, beef or vegetable and they will also make a mixed platter of two of each. The pakora platter was quite large and the selection of vegetable fritters was very good with a nice sauce. The prawn curry was delicious with six large prawns and a... More

My daughter and I decided to try this place out, and were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed our meal, but have to warn customers that the chicken is not just white meat as told to us by server. We would go back, as the place was clean and servers very attentive. Dinner was a little pricey, but good, and when we... More
