A pleasant surprise

For a hotel restaurant Vic's was a pleasant surprise. The food was good and the service prompt but unobtrusive. There is nothing in the way of atmosphere but if you are looking for a decent meal at a reasonable price this could be a good choice.

After a looong day (up at 5am to catch the ferry, then walking around Victoria for most of the day...), we finally stumbled in to Vic's Steakhouse comfortably past our normal dinner time. Our son - aged 4 - was tired, grumpy, and generally on the verge of a meltdown. The main waiter (Victor - if you get him, you've... More

Ribeye steaks were returned twice for not being cooked properly. Ordered Medium, got well done. Retuned it and reordered. Got Rare. Unacceptable. Husband and I ended up sharing my scallops side order and spinach salad. Scallops were tasteless, not seared. Spinach salad was good. The couple we were dining with asked for sour cream and butter for potatoes, were told... More

Nice location off the inner harbour, I ate in the lounge side. I ordered the steak & prawns. The steak was a very small portion but it was cooked absolutely perfect and had a nice smokey undertone. The vegetables were all amazing from the roasted yams to the pea purée to the mixed veggies. They were all both cooked and... More

The staff was very nice and friendly. We had a late night burger with salad. We split it and wasn't charged a fee for the extra plate which was nice. The burger was flavorful and the salad excellent. My husbands martini was good and my red wine satisfactory. We ate here because we were too tired to trek to somewhere... More

This may just be the best duck dish I've ever had & I've eaten duck in many locations around the world. It was simple & delectable!! The brucetta & calamari appetizers were also very nice. We enjoyed our experience here at Harbour Towers, have stayed here in the past & will certainly stay here again!! Love the location & you... More
