Enjoyable all around

Menu was varied and not too pricey. Dishes were beautifully presented. Would definitely go back. Location very convenient to Laurel Pointe hotel.

I went to Vic's for a quick supper while my husband kept the dog. Fish and chips was only $13 and delicious. I asked for a take out of the same to take back to the room and they timed it's readiness to my completion of the meal. They also put it on a china plate with a dome and... More

Our server, Michael, was exceptional and made our dining experience very enjoyable, despite the loud patrons at the next table. He attended to our special requests and added extra enjoyment with his attention to details and bright personality. We dined on the bacon-wrapped tenderloin and prawns with a veal demi-glaze. Marvelous! Perfectly boiled fresh veggies and a lovely mushroom pilaf.... More

Vic's offers nice menu options in a inviting environment. The seafood plate was excellent and filling. The buffet breakfast offers something for everyone. The prices are reasonable and comparable to other options in Victoria. It was worth staying in and the staff were very friendly and paid attention to detail.

The setting was fine, and I suspect that for a Christmas morning buffet one could not expect much, but this was on the lower end of acceptable. Plenty of food, and some of it quite good, but considering the price, it was not a good deal.

We sometimes find hotel restaurants somewhat borderline. Not Vic's. The food was excellent. The servers friendly without being intrusive. On the other hand, both nights we ate in Vic's, our servers were willing to visit and tell us where they were from: one just eight months out of Quebec and the other 10 years out of Guatemala. The offered wines... More

Typical Steak house setup - dim lights , fish tank , leather chairs. Steak, ribs, chicken and fish- and kid's meal pasta- all serve promptly and correctly ( one of us is gluten intolerant) so they filled the plate with extra veggies - No shock on the bill and service by our bilingual waitress was excellent - Our sons who... Ate here a couple of times during visit to Victoria. Really tasty food; generous portions and clean place. Could be quite busy (guessing it's a local favourite) making wait time for orders to come out, a bit long. Wait staff are quite pleasant.

If you want an excellent meal in casual surroundings then head to Vic's. You won't be disappointed. - if what you want isn't on the menu - just ask and if they can, they will make it for you. Really good value.

Dear Lyn, thank you very much indeed for assigning the 5-stars and adding your additional comments - it's the best kind of review. And thank you also for mentioning the "Our Kitchen is Your Kitchen" philosophy, where if there's something you'd like that isn't on the menu, and if we have the ingredients, we'll be happy to make it for... Hubby and I came for dinner. Loved the steak, pureed veg sauces, roasted veg, etc. We came back the next night too and ordered the same but a Caesar salad in addition. Best Caeser ever! Amazing. Will tell everyone to go, if only for the salad! Great service too. :)
