This was my second visit to the Legislative Dining Room and quite looked forward to it to show it off to my friend, visiting from California. Unfortunately, while the food and actual table service were very good, the entire experience was colored by how long we had to wait for our table even though we had a reservation. We stood,... More

What a little gem! Found out about this restaurant by reading online and so glad we did! The food was very reasonably priced and was very nice. We got our security tags from the security office right inside the front doors. Would highly recommend this restaurant for the experience! It was very cool to be in a secured area of... More

Having never eaten in a government building , this was an eye opener. First of all, we were glad we made a reservation, as the place was full and one had to obtain a dining room pass ( from security just inside the building) before gaining access. No walk ins. While expecting an inexpensive meal, we were still pleasantly surprised... More

Take advantage of the great food in a lovely setting. Servers are attentive and don't rush you through your meal.

This wonderful restaurant is a hidden little secret in the basement of the Parliament Building. I happen to be out front the building when they were putting in the breakfast menu and the prices were unbelievably cheap so I thought I would give it a try. It was a fantastic breakfast and presentation was impressive. In order to get to... More

We ate lunch here and it was nice to sit down to white tablecloths in a historic setting. My daughter ordered a hamburger and my husband ordered a BLT sandwich and they received ample servings. I ordered the salmon special and they were dismayed that my portion was so small. I enjoyed the flavor, however, until I reached the bottom... More

Best kept secret by our government, who would guess that at the bottom of the legislature building, the public can enjoy a fantastic meal! We had a tasty meal which included nice seafood chowder with a triple decker club house sandwich plus the coffee was free flowing. Prices were very affordable and the staff were very friendly & helpful with... More

I never knew this place even existed, which makes it all the more fun to go to. In order to get to this restaurant you must first go to security and get a pass, along with directions. The restaurant is in the basement and is not really advertized. I think it's maybe something only the locals know about. Anyway, once... More

This is a gem in downtown Victoria. As the Parliament was sitting on the day of our visit and the Members would be using the Dining Room during the recess, we had to wait until after 1.00pm to access the Dining Room. Well, it was certainly worth the wait. It is a very pleasant room in the basement, with a... More
