Excellent service, great food and at very reasonable prices considering it's with white table cloths and the chef is an award winning chef. You just have to leave your id with the security desk at the entrance then go to the dining room with your pass card to get in. We were unaware of the 2:00 closing time, so they... More

Victoria is teaming with elderly women. I just discovered where they eat. The dining room is charming in a faded elegance kind of way. It's in the basement of the legislative building, nice wallpaper etc. The food is wholesome , plain and cheap. Nothing bad, just average diner fare. The patrons are charming if you go for blue hair. Worth... More

The opportunity to eat in the dining room was one of the adventures of our travels. The food was tasty and the ambience delightful.

Restaurant hours typical of of the politicians, not long days. 9-3 on Friday, 9-4 Monday to Thursday. But unlike politicians, very good value and excellent food and service.

What a delightful experience to eat here. We were four who came in for lunch. You have to hand in your Drivers' License when you come into the door and get a security badge to go into the building. You can admire the beautiful architecture of the building while you walk down the halls to the dining room. One there,... More

A hidden treasure is to be found in the basement of the BC Parliament. The dining room that serves members of the legislature and staff is open to the public for breakfast and lunch. When you tour the BC Parliament Buildings consider going to the basement--this is a restricted access part of the building and requires that you check in... More

Very interesting to see the inside of this beautiful building. Although Parliament was not in session, it was a great experience. Our waitress was helpful with the menu and discussing the daily activity when parliament is in session. The food was good and priced reasonable. We did have reservations, but only made them about 2 hours ahead. We arrived at... More

The concierge in our hotel recommended this place as being a good choice for lunch while visiting the Museum next door. And was she correct! Very pleasant service, good food - what's not to like here. As the legislature was not in session, I asked staff if we could dine during the session. The response was "the restaurant is closed... Hidden in the bowels of the parliament buildings, you can get excellent food at reasonable prices. It's fun to have your own "pass" through the beautiful building and to see (sometimes) members of parliament there. This place is a well kept secret.

Good food at reasonable prices. Reservations suggested and you will need to leave a piece of ID with the officer at the door of Legislature Building before you are are allowed to go to the restaurant.
