Good Food

The food was fresh and delicious. I didn't give it 5 because the decor was a bit sleepy and they were playing 90's music. We were the only diners in there and it was on a weekend, kind of boring and quiet.

We used two groupons for our table of four. The New York steak was okay, a bit tough. The halibut was described as dry. The seafood dish featured tough, rubbery lobster and king crab but the mussels, scallops and shrimp were delicious. We also shared one appetizer that was good except for the calimari - cool, oily and tough (we... More

Booked this restaurant before arriving in victoria for getaway. Upon arriving, we were warned away from keeping our reservation. We walked down, checked it out and decided to keep our plan. The decor was very nice and the greeting and service were exceptional. But best of all, the food was delicious. I chose the prawn kettle and it was so... More

Can't say enough good things about our first time to Nellies. We had a Groupon and were expecting a scaled down version of the regular menu. It was the exact opposite. Excellent all around. We will be dining here again. Looking forward to it.

My husband and I had a horrible experience here, but decided to buy their Groupon and give it another chance. I'm glad to say that things were way better this visit and we will be going back for sure. We had a Four Course Meal which we were very impressed with from start to finish. The desert was fantastic as well... More

We dined here based on strong recommendations. The atmosphere is casual-plus, the food is good, and the service was very pleasant. Our waitress, Heather, was jovial and energetic. She brought several tastes of white wines to us, from a large wine list, until we settled on the BC Blue Mountain Chardonnay. The Coco Curry Prawns ($11) were delicious, the Seafood... More

This place is very popular with locals and more so now as they have a great groupon deal on that folks are using and so fills up even on week nights so if you want a relaxing experience go early for dinner. The anniversary menu had enough choices to keep you happy, and we really enjoyed it. The wait staff... More

From the moment we walked in we regretted it, but we had been traveling all day and we where tired and hungry. The service was slow and lackluster, he knew nothing about wine and tried to garble together some words he'd heard one to describe the wine we asked about. We just had oysters and French fries and left. Recommend... More

We went for dinner around 9pm, was very busy but managed to get a table after a short wait. Steak, seafood and sushi served at this restaurant. I wanted seafood, but the other members of my party didn't, so we were all catered for here, Our waitress was very friendly and attentive to our needs, will come back if I... More
