Looking for seafood with a local flare

Well....it was a little more fine dining than we were looking for. However, the Lobster Bisque, Fried Oysters, fish Tacos and burgers were excellent! They weren't very busy when we went in but got busier the longer we sat. Great atmosphere for a date or small group gathering. Service was a... read more

Cocktails to start, helpful staff, a full selection of seafood and steak and a selection of whiskeys for afterwards. All good.

This was a recommendation from a tour guide. I ordered the fish and chips which were fine but not remarkable. In fact, the batter was exceptionally thick in areas and in a few locations, not fully cooked. I would have to try some of the other dishes to make a more accurate and balanced review, but based on this one... More

We had a great lunch before leaving for the ferry--a fish crock pot and lobster shrimp quesadilla. Great service from Marty, and a close walking distance from downtown on Wharf Street.

WE stopped at NN for a late lunch. The decor was neat and tables clean! Friendly staff. We had the Fish and Chips ( Halibut)....very very good! I also enjoyed the Kale and Ceaser salad this too was a winner. So happy with our first fish and chips in Victoria.

One of the staff members at our hotel recommended Nautical Nellie's for seafood. We arrived after happy hour started so we decided to share some appetizers as our meal. Our waiter was very friendly. We asked for some recommendations. He recommended The portobello mushroom fries. They were really good and served with a tasty dipping sauce. We also got two... More

Almost left because of the long wait just to order. Not sure if we were invisible but many serving staff around who hovered about a small patio but when I asked for service they always deferred to another server. Never sure who was covering our table as it was three different people at different times with no communication with us... More

Nautical Nellies sits opposite the old custom house in Victoria harbor. We liked the setting and wanted seafood, so we tried it out. The food and the service were superior. The kitchen does the extra things that make a dish special, and that can turn a standard meal into a special treat. We had the seafood crock pot and a... More

When we found the restaurant, it was quite cute. The welcome was friendly, the service was very good, and the food was served hot and delicious. The menu had plenty to choose from.
